Coral Reef Service less than Average on 11/11/2008

The Coral Reef had LESS than ACCEPTABLE service by the Hostess Staff and Manager.  Our fantastic travel agent had NOTHING to do with the Wait time that we waited to be seated.  We got to the place 10 minutes advance of reservation (made 6 months in advance) and were not seated until 40 minutes later, almost creating us not to utilize our "Fast Pass" time for a ride and almost missing Spectro Magic Parade in Magic Kingdom.  The manager's excuse for taking larger parties in front of us who arrived later than we did, was that "that party had a table for 6 available, we would not seat a party of 4 at that table".  The hostess from the start stated that our wait time would not be long since we arrived on time.  This was the usual when dining in disney, HOWEVER NOT the CASE at Coral Reef.  Then, after 10 minutes of waiting, she stated that we would be less than 5 minutes to be seated, but in reality it was another 15 minute wait.  With two children, this was unacceptable. 

I can say that the Wait Staff was more that accomodating.  He did bring our meal very quickly and the steak was delicious.  We did get a table by the aquarium which was fun for the kids.  We especially liked the "human like" fish who snorkled around the other fish and turtles.  BUT...Caution to all who do NOT like to wait.  The manager did not even try to comp. us a "Drink" which is all she could have done due to the meal being Pre-Paid.  We would use caution when traveling to this place again.

Tusker House Fantastic Breakfast! on 11/11/2008

The Tusker House was the way to go and wake up for Animal Kingdom.  The Staff was very welcoming form the first "Jumbo' [hello] to the end.  The food was a great variety of African and American.  The choices for both Kids and Adults were amazing.  The character Parade that is performed at most places was exciting for my pre-teens as they played the instruments around the place with the Pooh Characters.  If you were to have a meal with Pooh Characters, this one is NOT to be missed.  We had a great time here.  Looking forward to trying a different meal here next time.

50's Food Fantastic! on 11/11/2008

Mmmmm!  Mmmmm! Good!!!!  That is what we all agreed on at this place.  Even the waiter was not as "rude" (although he did play a good game) as some.  He always checked on us and was very humerous.  We were lucky to have someone who did not make fun of us, because the other tables in the room got it enough for all of us.  My kids covered up their "unfinished" meals with a napkin so he "would not notice".  I think the other waitress in the place would have made everyone make the airplane sounds for the kids to take another bite.  My husband and I both had the meatloaf and it was fantastic!  Every part of the meal.  The S'More's Dessert was really tasty, too.  Great place to end the day while in Hollywood Studio's.

Chrystal Palace Delightful Dining on 11/11/2008

The Crystal Palace was our first meal in Disney.  It was nice to see the Pooh Character's dance around the place with the kids and adults of all ages.  The wait staff was very helpful and even told us what were the best rides to go on at the start of the day, not to "waste a fast pass" .  We took his advice and got on Splash Mountain, Thunder Mountain, and Pirates of the Carbiean without any waits at all!  We even did Thunder Mountain twice without wait times.  This allowed us to Fast Pass Space Mountain with little wait as well.  Thank you  for the helpful wait staff at this place. 

THe food was also very good.  Make your own omlets and Disney Mouse Pancakes were enjoyed by all.  The kids especially liked being able to get as much as they wanted.  It was a great way to begin our first trip to the Magic Kingdom.
