I feel like Disney just got my hopes up and just threw them to the ground and stomped on them today. I was checking my email on my phone and saw an email from vmk@disneyonline.com and the subject line "VMK Virtual Worlds- 30 Day Preview". I was like OMG they are going to open a new version of VMK or something. Of course the email could not open fast enough for me, but now I wish it had not. Inside was simply:
quote:
Dear Valued Guest,
Thanks for your interest in the Virtual Magic Kingdom and the FREE 30-Day Unlimited Access offer of Pirates of the Caribbean Online and Toontown Online.
Disney.com continues to create experiences to amaze our Guests, and we hope you will continue to join us in our virtual worlds, including the new Disney Fairies Pixie Hollow, coming this Fall 2008.
Below please find a code that will give you 30 Days of Unlimited Access to the following games:
I was so upset to read this as I NEVER expressed any interest in Pirates Online or Toontown and never plan to have any interest either.

[:o] Oh Boy...
Well now..that is so mean!
I noticed on the VMK log in (yup..I still go there)
The link to the free 30 day trials they offerd us..on the PoC and TT games link..
"The offer no longer available"
So now they are sending us another free offer?
I would have been so excited to get that e-mail too!
There sure are alot of us out here that wish beyond hope that they will restore VMK>

Awwww...that is um...kinda pouring salt in the old el woundo! *sigh* I guess it is kinda cool they offered the 30 day free trial, but not when you have never showed an interest in it.
