Hi all, Since Christee and I are busy planning the trip of a lifetime (not to Disney, however...that place was mine and K's and I'm still not ready to get back there yet...too confusing for Lucas who was 5 when we last went). Nope, this time it is (drumroll please...) A CRUISESHIP WEDDING TO BERMUDA!!! Yep. I'm getting married. Don proposed on June 28th and I've become a total Bridezilla. We're still a little more than a year away from the wedding date but I can't help but be ridiculously excited. It takes a lot to pull me away from the computer to get actual work done these days. All I can think is "deposit, deposit, deposit" and that gets me going! So, Lucas is well - in summer camp and soon to be eight years old. I'm posting a recent pic of him from the beach trip we took with my parents. I'll be back around. I have to be...OLP is planning my wedding!!! FranniePoppins! Good to see you too! And thank you, I'm pretty over the moon about it (obviously). This time is for keeps, you know? Yes, Lucas is getting too grown up for our own good. ;) We are working on taming a fresh attitude that I didn't expect until he was through puberty. Sigh... love, discipline, patience...some days I think I'm running out. But hey, he looks good! LOL! PP [:'(]

Woody! I am SO overdue to write you a good long e-mail. Yes, my summer HAS been busy. We love our apartment. Hard to believe we've been here almost a year now. I came back from our trip to NC realizing that this is truly my HOME. Nice to finally feel I am where I was meant to be. Remember when we used to bring that little tyke with the spiked hair to our mini-meets? He's four feet tall now but skinny as a rail. Sometimes he looks so big but other times he still looks like my tiny little boy. As for work, I started my own business doing freelance copyediting and proofreading of math, computer science, physics, and medical texts. Never thought in a million years that my life would take this kind of turn but it is great work and not a lot of folks want to do it (for obvious reasons) so I'm always very busy. It's a good way to save for that wedding cruise! [:-] I will definitely catch up with you soon. I think you'll like Don. He's really down-to-earth and happy anywhere he is. An outdoorsy guy - he's got me hiking, biking, fishing, and camping almost every weekend. I'm looking forward to no plans this weekend although we may go fishing together on Saturday. Thanks, Jodi! And, wow to you! Six days until WDW!!! That was the next resort on my list. I'll give it another couple of years and we'll get down there again. Lucas will be around 10 or 11 then - able to do ALL the big rides. What a difference that will make! Hopefully he'll be over the "I am the center of the Universe" phase then. [:-] [:o] PP[:'(]
