Hey Pixiekin,
Dan and I are in the funk to end all funks (which is why I've been so quiet around her lately). At 3:00 today (a half hour from now) he is meeting with his boss and his CEO (the closest thing they have to a Human Resources person) for a "Review Follow-Up". So, it's pretty much certain that about an hour from now he'll be unemployed. There is supposed to be a 30-day transition period during which he can meet with a job placement agency and go on interviews but then he'll be cut loose.
I can't believe we are going through this AGAIN. Are we EVER going to be in any kind of financial stability for longer than a couple of years at a time?
So, I think the next few days/weeks are going to be rough (possibly more so for me since I'm the worry wart between the two of us). I think he'll just be relieved to be out of there. Meanwhile, we found out the editor of the newspaper I work for has resigned and there will be another round of job cuts. GAH! My stomach is in knots....
