We had to have some bloodwork taken for a state required test, and the vet noticed that he was a little on the chunky side and - because he is 'of a certain age' - she suggested we check his blood sugar... Turns out our boy has slightly elevated blood sugars[sm=ugh.gif]
Because we already feed him a sugar-free, low carb diet, it's not near as bad as it could be, but still... we want our Brother Horse with us for a long time to come[sm=exactly.gif]
So our boy is going on a diet and exercise plan (I may have to join him up on the WellBeing Forum[:-])
In the meantime, I know happy thoughts and some [;)] will encourage his cells to utilize the insulin his body makes optimally[:(]
