it's time for me to start planning the annual OLP Christmas ornament exchange!  Yes, I know, it's early.  But it's usually around this time that I start kind of getting an idea of how many participants we are going to have and if anyone has any new ideas or thoughts they would like to share.  I'm always up for new thoughts or ideas!  I know over the years we've had lots of fun with this and it's always so much fun for me to put it together!  So, if you would be so kind as to allow me, I'd love to do it again!  My ornaments I've received over the years always make me smile when I unpack them.  Each one reminds me of the person who sent it.

So, just some preliminary questions (and I'll post a poll later to get some numbers to decide for sure what we do) here:  We always do adults, so that's a given.  Over the years, we've put kidlets in the mix.  This is always lots of fun, we just have to remember that they ARE kids and get extra excited over these things so we HAVE to make sure we get those ornaments sent.  Adults can understand that sometimes things happen, but kids just don't.  So, are we up for kids exchanging, too?  And we've even had pet exchanges.  What about those?

Just let me know any thoughts or opinions and in a couple weeks, I'll get a poll out and really start working towards this so we can have everyone interested signed up and I can have your ornament buddy information to you before Thanksgiving.  That gives us plenty of time to plan and plenty of time to send!  I'm aiming for the week before thanksgiving to have it all done from my end.  Sound good?

Oh gosh!  I'm so excited!  I just LOVE the next 3 months!  Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas!!  It makes me giddy just to think about it!!  YAY!!!

Thanks for all you do Jodi, you make the OLP family a little closer!

Jodi you can count me in this year, but I'm not going to add Casey this year as he never got his last year.  So just me for now and THANK YOU so much for putting this together every year.

I was thinking about this a couple of days ago. Drew and I are both in. Every ornament reminds me about the person who sent it to me and Drew always has fun choosing an ornament for his buddy.

We're off to a good start!!  I'll get to work on a short poll and such in a week or two and then it will be off and running!!  I know I'm excited!!  I always have fun going to Posh (a local store that has the neatest things ever) and Donna's (another neat local store) and picking ornaments!!  I noticed while we were at Wally earlier looking at Halloween stuff for Justin that they are already starting to get a few things out for Christmas!  JINKIES!!  I absolutely LOVE Christmas and planning ahead and all, but it would be nice if they'd wait till after Halloween!  Then again, I'm the one who got ornaments from DW in August and has already gotten my yearly White House Ornament!  Oh, and btw, it is the most beautiful one yet!!   is all I can say about it!!!

I know what you mean, they have been playing Christmas movies on television already! National Lampoons Christmas Vacation, The Santa Clause 3 and Trapped in Paradise were all on last week.....
