Today is lunch at Pop Century food court with my nephew and MNSSHP! We don't rush this morning, knowing we're going to be up well after midnight. I return the golf cart around 11:30 am. As I was returning it I was asked if how long we were staying and if I planned on renting it again during our stay. Sure I plan on it? Why?? He asks me a few more questions- He tells the guy to go get my cart again and hangs me papers to sign. I'm confused- I'm only returning the cart today. He said, but you want it tomorrow? Sure but... he leans over and says Shhhhh magical moment, you can have it today at no cost! whooo hoooooo!! That's a $53 savings! Awesome!!! We head over to have lunch with my nephew. We have the Italian area and surprisingly it was really good. We do some shopping at the store to pick Jeremy up something to wear to the party that night. My nephew and family meet up with us at the cabin to take the boat over to the MK. We arrive at 3:45 and had to wait until 4 pm to get in. I love the decorations! But realize my camera is acting up. So while the gang head to Space Mt. the baby, Jeremy and I head to the photo place to see what's going on. It's the SD card. I am amazed at the lack of people. I figured since we got in the park at 4 pm - it would be crowded until the party started... but no... it's so empty. When I say we walked on every single ride the entire evening, I mean we walked straight on every ride. We didn't wait at all. NOT at all. Every ride from the cars, Buzz, Space mt. Pooh, Peter Pan, Splash, Big Thunder mt, POTC, Dumbo, and all the rest... we not only walked on but sometimes we were the ONLY ones on the ride. We hit Peter Pan and on the cast members were like--- OH look People!!! because no one had been in line. The ride was empty. There was no crowds to walk through so I didn't get grumpy dealing with rude people. Even watching the parade- we didn't have to fight for a place or deal with people in our way. It was awesome, awesome, awesome! We stayed on several rides - me and Jeremy stayed on Splash mt for the 3rd time to close out the evening. Just as we got off of the ride to head to the front of the park, a rain ban from Ike opened up. We got soaked walking to the front of the park. We waited forever or so it seemed at 12:30 am and wet for a boat. Only a small boat was being ran. I couldn't believe it! No big boats?? The boat was open and the rain was hitting us. But it was ok. We had been at the park and it didn't start raining until the very end of the night. We get to the campground and Tommy, Jessica, baby, Jeremy and I take the golf cart to bring them to their car in the front lot. I couldn't see where I was driving in the rain! We were laughing so hard - we'd hit a huge puddle {or small pond} and the cart would hit the water and we'd all go forward. Laughing as the water came up over to hit us. We were soaked as you can get. It lightens up as we get to his car... he gets off and no sooner opens his trunk, the rain just opens up. He's standing there yelling... Are you kidding me?? We were laughing so hard! He's dripping wet as well as the stoller. He just picks it up and slings it in the trunk. I head back to the room and wring out my clothes, jump in the shower and fall in bed laughing at 2 am. It was a GREAT, magical day at the Magic Kingdom. I've never seen the park so empty- and I gotta admit. I loved it! We did everything but the jungle cruise and magic carpet ride. And would have had time for that if we didn't stay on certain rides over and over. I loved the fireworks, the parade, the candy!! I love the park for Halloween. Although, it seemed funny celebrating Halloween just yet.
