Driving through Orlando Friday afternoon through sheets of rain, it never crossed our mind that it might also be raining in Vero Beach Nope, we were headed into sunshine in our minds... where it counts, n'est-ce pas? Our one bedroom villa was simply lovely Do you love the colors as much as I do? The space felt so cozy to me I didn't mind that it was raining and cold outside (as demonstrated by the balcony area ) The bathrooms was huge! and separated into two rooms for convenience We unloaded all the munchies we'd brought... and the Mario Party game, of course... and headed over to Shutters for dinner. Here is a view of the ocean from the back porch of the main building Shutters seating... Alan started with the Artichoke dip and I chose the Cream of Onion soup Alan tried the pizza, but it wasn't quite his style. Fortunately, he was pretty full from the dip and chips AND fortunately for me, I liked the pizza because the Rotisserie Chicken turned out to be smoked... uhoh Shutters redeemed itself, though, with the homemade sugar free chocolate ice cream We braved the rain back to your room and set up the Mario Party game... just in time for Lazar and Alison to arrive We sang a rousing round of Happy Birthday to Alan which Alan shyly enjoyed... then we got down to the serious business of Mario Party Lazar and Alison beat Alan and me amidst the munching sounds of snacking... yeah, that was it! The snacking distracted me! Of course, I had to get on the internet to check my emails and do a LIVE report, but - alas - the dial up was not letting me in no matter how many times I tried! After awhile, Lazar got tired of waiting for me to get off of his 'bed' I gotta wonder sometimes... When do the roles between parent and child reverse? Alison was the smart cookie. She just made herself up a cozy nest and relaxed while she waited
