The construction at Disney's Grand Californian, adding the DVC units, is progressing nicely. They have actually closed several guest rooms on each floor, to convert them into temporary access points for emergency fire escapes. This process is being done to allow the connection of the new construction to the existing building. It is a huge milestone in the process. The opening of the DVC Villas is just a bit more then a year away from now.

I though I snapped a picture when we had dinner at the Grand California last week, but I didn't. I can tell you the rooms are overlooking California Adventure, basically right in the park itself. I do not remember seeing any looking over Downtown Disney.
