Warning......Spoilers Ahead........... I thought that it was going to be like Buzz Lightyear, as well. The only similarities are that you are shooting at targets to aquire points. The method and process are a bit different and a lot more "advanced". Your car spins quite a bit, which adds a fun element to the ride as well. Nothing like the teacups, but think more like the Men in Black Attraction over at Universal Studios (if you've ever tried that one). You have no control over the spinning at all. You spin through and on your journey, you stop in front of several different "screens" along the way. The shooter is different, as it has a spring action, string sort of attachment to the "gun". It doesn't actually shoot out darts or rings or anything for that matter. However, once you're in front of the screen your gun is enabled to "shoot" out 3D rings, darts, etc (depending on the type of screen your at.........break the plates, pop the water balloons, ring the aliens/rockets, hit the moving targets, etc. You pull back on the small ball attached to the end of the string, let go and out shoots some sort of 3D projectile. It really should be called 4-D because sometimes when you pop the really big or higher point balloons, a mist of water and a burst of air will hit you in the face. If you ring certain rockets, they'll take off, look like their coming right at you, and a large burst of air hits you in the face. Just a little tip......higher point targets seem to be in the extreme edges and corners of the screen; set up really high or really low (these are harder to hit, and also easily overlooked as most people tend to focus on the middle of the screen). It's so fantastic........I can't really explain it accurately enough to do it justice. It's just one of those rides you must experience to really "get it". The 4-D immersion into the ride and subtle-enough-to-not-make-you sick but not-TOO-subtle spin your car does, makes this ride one of the most fun at Walt Disney World in my humble opinion. All I could say upon exiting was !! I overheard others talking about it as well, and all I heard was positive remarks and a lot of "awesome"s.
