Just in time for the late October release on DVD and Blu-ray of the all-new animated feature “Tinker Bell,” Disney’s most famous fairy and four of her best friends will debut in a meet-and-greet experience in Mickey’s Toontown Fair at Magic Kingdom. A magical forest will gradually shrink guests down to fairy size as they enter Pixie Hollow, a special place deep in the heart of Never Land, where a baby’s first laugh brought Tinker Bell to life. As guests hear Tinker Bell speak for the first time, they also are sure to meet one or more of her fairy friends: - Fawn, an animal fairy;
- Iridessa, a light fairy;
- Rosetta, a garden fairy; and
- Silvermist, a water fairy.
Disney Fairies at a Glance The all-new motion picture “Tinker Bell” will be released on Oct. 28 on DVD and Blu-ray. This story of one of Walt Disney’s most beloved characters will finally be revealed as she and her friends turn winter into spring and, with the power of faith, trust and a little bit of pixie dust, learn the importance of being true to yourself. “Tinker Bell” is enhanced by the voices of a cast acclaimed for performances on stage and on screen. Mae Whitman (Independence Day, One Fine Day) gives Tinker Bell her first true voice and Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winner America Ferrera (Ugly Betty) provides the voice of the mischievous Fawn. Five-time Image Award-honoree Raven-Symoné ( College RoadTrip) fills the illuminating role of Iridessa; Tony Award-winner Kristin Chenoweth (Pushing Daisies) offers the elegant tones of Rosetta; and two-time SAG Awardee Lucy Liu (Dirty Sexy Money) plays Silvermist. In addition, singer-songwriter Jesse McCartney lends his voice to Terence, keeper of the pixie dust, and Academy Award-winning actress Anjelica Huston (Prizzi’s Honor) reigns over Pixie Hollow as the voice of Queen Clarion. - 1985 – Tinker Bell “flies” from high on Cinderella Castle to set the sky ablaze with fireworks.
- 2007 – Tinker Bell has her parade debut on a float in Disney’s Enchanted Adventures Parade, an entertainment extravaganza during Disney’s Pirate & Princess Party.
- Tinker Bell merchandise continually ranks among the top sellers of character-based merchandise at Walt Disney World Resort.
