My Mom has been sick since the week before Easter. A little over a week age she was in the hospital becuase her potassium level had dropped to 2.0, which is very low. 4.6 is considered medium average. She was releast last Wednesday after 7 days of being poked, prodded and made well. The day after she got home she noticed that her hands and feet were swollen. She called the doctor's office and they told her to keep her feet elevated. After 5 days her hands and her right leg were back to normal, but her left leg was still swollen. On day 6 it moved up to her calf at which point she had made a Doctor's appointment (with her regular Doctor) to see what was wrong as she was also getting very tired again and losing her appetite again. I took her to the Doctor on Wednesday morning and he immediately set her up to go to the hospital that afternoon for an ultrasound because he believed it to be a blood clot. So at 2:00 p.m. she had her ultrsound and the called her Doctor right away because she did indeed have a blood clot. So down to the emergency room we went. She got all set and they told her she would have to be admitted. With this she began to cry as it was her's and my Dad's 57th Anniversary and she didn't plan on spending it in the hosptial. We also found out that her potiassium had dropped yet again. When she was release last week it was 4.6 and yesterday it was down to 2.8. Now Mom is in the hospital for the second time in two weeks and could really use some healing PD.
