I don't know what in the world Bagheera did or if he had a fight with another creature but the other day We noticed the left side of his face was so swollen he could not even open his eye he was not eating just sleeping so I was getting worried that night his face litterally popped open it was so gross and smelled awful.
So the next moring I called the Vet she said no need to bring him in just come get a antibiotic and then she says "Oh my Bagheera is that 30 lb cat isn't he.?" I laughed and said yes he is. Which basically means he needs more meds then a normal cat. So this first afternoon here is me and Joe trying to get this dropper full of meds in him Joe has him pinned down I am trying to get his mouth open and Bagheera is getting very angry. we finally get 1 dropper in him ,but are suppose to do 2 droppers full 2 times a day.  Have any of you ever tried to give a 30 lb cat medicine? On top of this she wan't us to wash his owie with warm soapy water and put peroxide on it OK yeah RIGHT! Well later that evening we try to get more medicine in him and he gets so angry he is yelling at Joe and he proceeds to pee everywhere! UGH!!! SO we let him go and a little later Joe just puts some Peroxide on a rag and gently wipes his face .
Well, There was no way I was going to be able to give this cat 2 droppers full of meds w/out Joe Bagheera is VERY strong. SO all of sudden I had a great thought!!! Ding,Ding Ding!!! TUNA!!! So I run down and check my stock no tuna . Shoot! ( this was the next morning ) then I see it! I start Jumping for JOY!!! A can of Salmon that someone gave us awhile ago and I was never going to use ( I had planned on donating it surely someone out there likes salmon) But I opened that puppy up put a dap on a plate and mixed Bagheera's meds in it and HURRAY!!!
He ate it!!! Now we are on day two of me doing this And he eats it up no problems I am so happy no stress on him and No stress on me Thankfully his swelling has gone down alot since he started the meds and he is eating fine again.
He also lost his collar and we are hoping it will show up soon. I do not like letting him out with out his collar. And he whines and begs to go out everyday.
So I thought I would share the delmia we had really the first major ordeal with our kitty And So happy he is on his way to being healthy again.
