Hello everyone, I'm still on the planet. Been crazy busy lately and haven't had much time to post.

We've been going through so much lately. Carl's mother just got out of the hospital from emergency gall bladder surgery and my sister, who has MS, is in rehab from having a major stroke last week. She was diagnosed with breast cancer a few months ago so she has had more than her share of medical issues, it just isn't fair you know?

I'm in the running for a new job, had a great interview a few hours ago (my third) and I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Especially since it's 2 miles from my front door and that would be a nice change especially with the gas prices the way they are.

On a lighter note, we have been chasing bats out of our chimney today. There was a bat crawling around my fireplace last night (thank goodness we have glass doors or it would have been in the house). EEEEEKKKKK. The cats spent the night sitting on the hearth staring into the fireplace LOL.

Phew, I think that's about all, hopefully I'll be able to check in and play more. Sending prayers and positive thoughts to all.

It's good to "see" you, Joanne!

I've been crazy busy myself this summer. Between family stuff, being super busy at work and completely obsessed with all things Chicago Cubs, I haven't posted much lately either. I try to check in every day to make sure I don't miss any news and sometimes my Pixie Dust is of the "quiet" variety but I'm out here sending good thoughts to everyone even if life is getting in the way of my posting....

And about those bats.....send them my way! I LOVE BATS!!!!! They are so beneficial to the world and they keep the insect population down in the summertime. Please be kind to them if you find any more. The ones that are rabid or dangerous are usually too sick to fly. They just want to find their way back home!! I had a close encounter with a bat a while back and I've loved them ever since.

Sorry to hear of all the medical problems in the family

so how's the hockey? Does Drew play in the summer? Jer plays year round.

Did I tell you Jeremy made a travel hockey team- The Charlotte Flames? What have I gotten myself into??

I can't believe summer is almost over here in the south- they go back in 2 weeks or so.

BATS!!!! EEEKKK!!! those are just flying rats to me! ( Sorry Lisa I have no compassion for those things) As long as they stay out of my house I am fine! We had some living in our home when we first moved to MN in 2000 it was a old Farm house with lots of drafts every night we had them flying thru the house while I was screaming and hiding under covers Joe was crawling around opening all the doors to outside. ( The First encounter with one I was trying to make dinner and one flew in the kitchen and landed on my head it was horrifying to me) I know they were trying to find there way out but They are just one of those things in life I find to be creepy crawlies to me! Too Each his own I guess. Now Lisa Knows why I RAN thru the Bat exhibit at the Zoo

( and in my defense it was a open exhibit no glass no cages just a cave you walk thru one could have landed on me!
