So could you tell this "computer  challanged soul " if there is a link thing like the old program had where you could type (or paste) the web address..the "http" thing and then make a sensible title in place of it???
I know..I'm kind of slow!

That's the one thing about the old system I miss, too, Beth  I just write it in by hand now:
type name of link here  .... then I use the B tab to bold the name

Hi Beth, what a good question... especially since I didn't know the answer!  I asked the big guy in the sky about this one and he has a great answer, here is what he said to do:

quote:

it is a lot easier to put a link with the WYSIWYG editor. here is how you do it:
type go to hotmail
highlight go to hotmail and then click on the link buttonhttp://www.aspplayground.net/forum/rteimages/hyperlink.gif
put
http://hotmail.com in the prompt
that's it - you will see go to hotmail as a clickable link

I'm going to try it here: go to OLP

How about that, it really works!

Good idea Beth, thanks! I stuck it up there and changed the title of your original post to be a little more descriptive in case somebody else wants to be reminded how to do it too
