OK......I'm really curious......   What is/was your ultimate FAVORITE dining experience at Walt Disney World and what was your least favorite Dining experience.  Feel free to give details too, if you have a minute.

Favorite:  California Grill (The Pork Tenderloin w/Goat Cheese Polenta........I almost picked up the plate and licked it clean)
Worst:  Captain Jack's @ Dowtown Disney (noone at the table liked their meals!)

Speaking of Captain Jack's though......this would be another place that they could scrap and then redo the whole place (and menu) and make it a Pirate Dining Experience.  Couldn't get a better name!

Oooh!!!  I'll play!  The BESTEST is at Yak and Yeti -
Tempura Shrimp - chili plum sauce, coconut-ginger rice, stir fried vegetables.  Oh, my!!!  I'm in the "lick the plate clean club" on this one too.

But, my DH swears by the Seared Miso Salmon - miso glazed Atlantic salmon, jasmine rice, baby bok choy and shiitake mushroom stir-fry.

Least favorite - and it's counter service -- is Pizza Planet at MGM (sorry, DHS!).  It is a zoo in there, and the pizza is not so much.

Favorite:  Mama Melrose - my last meal there was exquisite, and the sugar free lemon mousse was yum beyond belief  No, wait...  It was the The Wave - I LOVED my veggie soup with little grilled cheese sammies

Least favorite - I'm with Donna.  Cap'n Jacks

My favorite was Alfredo's in Italy, but that's no more (wipe a tear away from my eye)
Tutto Italia is ok but my favorite now is LeCellier, the cheese soup, yummy.
Least favorite, can't say I have one because you're in Disneyworld baby what so bad about that????

Favorite snack tied beignets at the French Quarter and Kaki Gori, shaved ice in Japan.

I think my favorite is Liberty Tree Tavern.  (sad about characters leaving)
My least favorite would be the buffet at Hollywood and Vine.

Ok LOL I just noticed this thread!! I LOVE FOOD! (As if you couldn't tell by my recipe postings).

Favorites:

Whispering Canyon Cafe. Being bbq snobs from Texas, it's pretty darn good. I'm always surprised at how good it is every time we order the dinner skillet. There's the great debate between cornbread vs corncake and this leans more to the corncake side, but it's still good. I'm not a cornbread or cake fan but I do love this stuff. It's right in between I think. Flame Tree was also a pleasant bbq surprise for us.

Yachtsman Steakhouse. We did this for Valentine's dinner in 2006. It was wonderful. The steak was great, the dessert was amazing... it was a beautiful dinner.

I love all the standards too.. Chef Mickeys (LOVE the Mickey ravioli), Crystal Palace, 1900 Park Fare (love that tortellini pasta they have), Ohana (breakfast! LOVE STITCH). Liberty Tree was on this list too. The food was sometimes hit or miss but it was overall good food.

We really love Rose & Crown also. The drinks are awesome. Discovered Strongbow this last trip. Their chicken with garlic bread pudding is amazing. So is the Sticky Toffee Pudding (hard to make but I got their recipe!) and Bailey's Trifle. Love their potato & leek soup and their roasted mushrooms. mmmmm

I've never really had any *bad* dining experiences, knock on wood, but some of the counter services aren't that great. We've had subpar food at ABC Commissary and.. I believe it's Electric Umbrella? The counter service cafeteria in Epcot kind of near MouseGear and the fountain? We stick to counter service in World Showcase now. For counter service now, we really hit Flame Tree (AK), Casey's and Pecos Bills (MK), any World Showcase counter service (Epcot) and ...nothing really in DHS anymore. Wait, that's not true. There's a line of carts near Fantasmic, Tower of Terror and Aerosmith. Those aren't bad.

I'm spoiled on Mexican food being so close to the border. It's really a comfort food for me so I've not been impressed by the menus at San Angel and the Cantina. It's no where near the same as Tex Mex border food and it just doesn't look appealing to me. LOL What did it for me was after reading the Cantina's menu, I looked at Kirk and asked "What the heck is a 'wet burrito'? That does NOT sound good!". LOL Burritos aren't supposed to be wet!!

My favorite has got to be Victoria and Albert's.  It is fine dining at it's best.  In fact, I'll be eating there in 8 days!!!!  For regular dining, I have to say Le Cellier.

I don't think I've ever had a bad meal at WDW.  I've been trying to think of one and I just can't.

Dawn, you will love this...
We are taking Lazar there for his birthday in late December.  He requested it specially because he wants to see the faces Alan makes when they bring him his food.  Alan said ok...  as long as we take somewhere afterward to get a burger

I'd like to play!
My favorite without a doubt is Cantina's, the Wet Burrito! Sorry Selena, it may not sound right but it is the best burrito I have ever had! My oldest daughter and I go there multiple times when we visit Disney and I can't wait to go again when we return in February. I agree with the lack of appeal of the menu at San Angles. It's too bad too because it's a great setup there and I also love Mexican food (it's in the blood, my last name is Fernandez!).
I also love the ESPN Club on Boardwalk.
I have tried to think of my least favorite but really can't think of any.

ohhhh I have so many favorites!!!

The Wave had to be our best meal on the last trip!! And to think I almost cancelled it. I loved the whole theme and the bread, yummy!!!
The desserts were kind of funky for me, but the cheesecake one, was heavenly!

We love Trails End at Fort Wilderness too.
Now we did the Hoop Dee Do and well, not so much.  You can get the chicken and ribs on the trails end buffet at a fraction of the price. The entertainment was funny, but goofy. My husband was picked to be in the show... the girl comes up to him and says, GUESS what? You're in the show. He looks at her and says, I bet NOT! He's so shy, there's no way he'd go up there.
But now Jessica who is our future neice- wasn't given a chance to say no. LOL

I love Chef Mickeys just because it's so themed!!! Kona's love it!! Sooo many loves over the years!!!

Now the worse, 50's Prime time - the steak was too tough to even cut, let a lone eat!

Well So far our favorite has been the Crystal Palace My Husband Loves Buffet style meals ANd even he loved this said it was the best.

Chef Mickey's we loved the theming and the characters but the food we both agreed was just so so not the greatest.

And our biggest disappointment was 1900 Park Fare Long waits even with a preferred seating and we waited for over a hour and half just to have Cinderella come to our table ( Sara was with us and she really wanted to wait for her other wise I would have left) and the food was all dried out and blaned and it was the most expensive and our worst experience. Doubt I will get Joe to try it again.
Joe said the best thing about 1900 Park Fare was getting to meet Goofy on his way out.

Now I picked them all because they were buffet ( for Joe ) and it was amazing to us how much each one differed.
