" DisneyLand"

Disneyland ...
Magic Kingdom, Disneyland.
Close my eyes real tight,
wishin' hard I might,
find my way to Disneyland.
Gotta get to Disneyland.
On a western breeze,
magic carpet please,
please carry me away.

Cause when the world is too real,
it makes it better to feel
you gotta another place to go,
somewhere, where' s magic enough
to leave the ugly and tough,
to grab a dream and let it grow,
somewhere, where it' s never too late
to leave it all at the gate
and be there, be free there,
come with me there cause I know
we all need some Disneyland ...
Magic Kingdom, Disneyland.
Where the child inside
gets to laugh and gets to ride
until it' s OK.

I believe in Disneyland,
and when we get to Disneyland,
let' s stay -- !!!

-- Howard Ashman & Marvin Hamlisch

The ' DisneyLand' song, that I took the lyrics from, written by Howard Ashman and Marvin Hamlisch -- is on a Bill McKinley C.D. album I have. It is a beautiful, emotionally-touching song .... magnificently performed by Bill McKinley. All of the songs on his C.D. ' Everything Possible' are wonderful, wonderful, wonderful ...

OK, I have a question for you: Do you and Rudy listen to a lot of music? Do you have time for enjoying music? Do you listen to tapes or C.D.s or both?

Well, that was more than one question, I guess. But, there is a good reason for them ... tee hee hee. I' ve got an idea, but if I tell you, before I tell you, I will wait until I see what you say about those questions ...

See you sooooon!!!

Hello Beth,

I listen to CDs mostly, too, but also have tons and tons of tapes -- in the house. I have a tape deck in the car, but have a portable SONY CD player that I can hook up to the tape deck if I want to listen to CDs on the road.

Ah, so I guess you and Rudy listen to a lot of music, at home and in the car? Maybe? Maybe not??

I have a little project, I am playing around with, that involves music -- CDs and tapes. And, there is a reason why I asked you about all of that. I won' t tell you more of the details about it yet ... you might know soon enough??

I have not been able to contact Jack yet, about coming to DisneyLand while you all are there. I should be seeing him, at Dane' s house, on Easter Sunday -- for Dane' s twice-a-year Easter Garden Party and Garage Sale. I will ask Jack when I see him there about DisneyLand. And, I will let you know early next week about what is happening, before you leave home for the trip out west ...

I am getting excited about your trip. And thrilled about Lisa and Dan' s very first adventure at DisneyLAND. I hope they both fall head over heels in LOVE with Walt' s park.

I will see you soon -- here, and maybe at DizzieLand?

Corey ... and Gary, too.
And, maybe Jack?

How could they not fall in love with Walt' s Park..and all the rest, too!
One of my favorite things is to listen to music while I play here.
I MUST get my CDs beside my computer now that I have it moved into an upstairs room-sort of an office/music/Disney planning/packing of suitcases and quiet room.
My SIL to be has loaned me his stereo so I can listen to all my vinyl 33' s.
I even have some 78s!
I hope we see you soon,in person,at the Magical Land of Disney!
{Easter garden Party and Garage Sale???}
This I' d love to see!

Yes, I agree with you 100 per cent -- how can anyone NOT fall in love with Walt' s park? Only a cold fish with no feeling in their soul would not ' get' Walt' s message and spirit in his park ...

Do fish have souls? Hmmmm, that' s a question I don' t have an answer to.

As for Dane and his Easter Garden Parties ... they are quite spectacular. Dane lives in Silverlake, close to downtown Los Angeles. His house is perched on the top of a very high hill-top, overlooking the city. His hillside terraced gardens are lush and wonderful, reflecting the devotion and hours of work he puts into tending to his flowers and trees and potted plants. I designed and built an outdoor ceramic water fountain for him, which sits outside his front door in a pond filled with koi fish ... do koi fish have souls?

Dane puts up a large white tent, out on his brick patio, that overlooks his gardens and city view -- and that is the setting for his garden parties. Almost as magical as anything Disney could create. So lovely to sit out there on a sunny day, sipping lemonade and feasting on delicious Easter munchies set out on a large buffet table.

And, tonight Gary and I are going to a Passover Seder ... so we are observing both holidays. We are gonna be wearing our traditional blue and white yarmulke' s (skull caps) when we tip toe over to the Seder dinner.

Happy Passover AND Easter!
