I came across this while I was doing some other research.  You folks probably have already seen it, but I thought I would share a link, just in case you haven't.

Thanks Frannie for thinking of us!  Yes I know Melp plays . I have tried but just got lost.  oh well! I think there are to many different servers that it is difficult to locate each other on there unless you plan ahead of time which server everyone uses.

Yep...this is what Isabel plays now that VMK is gone.  My parents pay for her suspcription and her and her friends from dance and school sit on the phone while they are on this to find each other lol.  She loves it..and doesn't like VFK so much so I'm glad she found a substitute

They actually have made it easier to locate a friend in the servers now.  If you see a yellow smiley that should mean someone on your friends list is on that server.  I rarely make it on though. It gets a bit boring when you play the free version since you can't create your igloo or buy all of the cool costumes.  It is cute for kids though

oh I forgot! lol.  I'll let you know if I go on tonight again. The fall fair is going on and there are some fun prizes to win. Prince and I were on a bit last night.  I hate to admit it too but I've been checking out the Pixie Hollow game too now

Pixie Hollow looks cute-I made a Pixie awhile ago and went to check it out and lots of changes.
Cute ideas-looks like there will be some shops and games.
Pop into CP to play games, but since I don't have a paid membership, can't do much really.
My penquin is a red one. Pretty good at the fish game, and if they expand the free game, I'll have lots of gold.
Have tried Ravenwood too-not Disney-and it's a bit confusing.
Am looking forward to Elf Island-should open in October.
Nothing much is taking the place of VMK for me-guess I'm just not over it.~~sigh~~

I'm not over it either Beth   Pixie hollow games are actually up. Some are not too bad. I spend most of my time collecting the glowing leaves, flowers and other items so they can be donated to get badges even though we can only display one at a time. One I'm kind of wanting to hurry up and be released though is the Lego Universe. Don't know much about it but I am seriously hoping that Legos= building rooms!

I think there will be many of these games out there-
I guess VMK just captured my interest right away and was the first one I ever got into. (and I could figure it out!)
It was so nice to connect with my family and friends all in one magical place.
While it's going to be fun to do the others, just the knowing that I could jump in almost anytime-especailly in the evening- and find a few pals to visit and play with was my favorite thing.
We connected with ppl from all over the country and even other countries in a place we all have enjoyed 'in real' and felt safe and comfortable doing so.
Pixie Hollow is really nice-beautiful graphics.
Elf Island is looking very promising.
VFK is really a great game-so many learning opportunities...
But VMK was my first virtual home.
~~~sigh~~~
I totally agree Beth.  I thought people who spent hours online playing games were crazy before I got into VMK (of course I know many thought I was crazy lol ) I met so many friends through that game and it was all so real. Luckily many of those friendships are able to continue on without it, though some are a struggle or completely non-existent anymore.  VMK wasn't only my first virtual home, it was home  :-( (well in addition to my real home lol)
