I can't believe how great things have been lately. I have had 3 interviews this week and will have 4 interviews next week! Every time I get a new lead and respond, it seems that it takes less time to get a response (and to have them ask for an interview). Today, I met with a new recruiter at 10:30. At 11:50, they e-mailed me a lead. I responded and said it looked promising. By 12:20, the recruiter said that she'd send my stuff over.
At 4:00, they requested an interview for next week! (On 8-8-2008, to be exact).
That isn't the best story this week...
On Tuesday, a company I really want to work for e-mailed me for an interview. But I never got the e-mail. On Thursday, they called me to see if I was still interested, since I hadn't responded. I said that I was interested and that I hadn't gotten the e-mail... They asked to see me on Monday at 1:00.
I got a card coming out of the train station the other day, too... (and another one today). I'm thinking of blowing this up and putting it on my wall. Maybe not so subtle...
Well, thanks everyone. I feel more confident and "in demand" than I've felt in years. (And I think I finally smell a new job coming, instead of desperation...) I will keep you posted.
