Here it is. This is the place you come to request OLP's Official mascot, Buddy W. Blessing, to go along on your next trip or getaway.

Who is Buddy?
Buddy Walt Blessing is our official mascot here at OLP. He is a lovable "stuffie" that loves to travel.

What does Buddy "do"?
You can request Buddy to join you on your next travel adventure and take him along for a great time. You can take pictures of Buddy in all sorts of places....from the Leaning Tower of Pisa to Cinderella's Castle at Disneyworld. How about a picture with Buddy and your family with the Golden Gate Bridge in the background. I think you get the idea

How does Buddy get to the next person?
The family that has Buddy currently will have the responsibility of getting Buddy to the next set of Travelers.

How can I get Buddy to come and travel with us?
You put in your request in this thread and, if it doesn't overlap anyone else's, then Buddy will be on his way shortly before your trip. We will make arrangements to have your address information sent through private PM's with the person who currently has Buddy visiting them. If there are alot of requests for the same time you want him, then we will take into account if Buddy has been to the place you are going already...or if you have had Buddy more recently than someone else requesting the same time as you.

What do you need to know in my request?
We need to know the dates you are traveling and where you are going or for what event you want Buddy. Any other information on why you want him may be added as well. Remember, we need to leave a few days for Buddy to get to the next family. So if, let's say, the Jones family had him for a trip that was May 16 - 23rd and you want him for your trip to Hawaii on May 25th, that probably wouldn't be possible. So please be reasonable with your requests.

Is there a place to see pictures of Buddy?

This first post here will probably be edited alot. It will be the post that will keep a running tab on requests, so that we can see the requests all in one post and not have to shuffle through them all. When you make a request, I will bring it up into this post so that you can see the dates that people have requested in one post.

November 25 - December 2, 2006 - Minderella's Family - WDW
January 7 - 14, 2007 - Grisafe Family (KimmyKay) - Cruise to the Mexican Riviera
January 21 - 28, 2007 - Cruising with the Bears - Mexican Riviera
March 6, 2007 - The Klick's - Spring Training with the Twins in Florida
March 15, 2007 - The Boo Tribe - Ashland Oregon
May 5 - 12, 2007 - Francine & Family - WDW

Can I have him join my family on our WDW vacation in May? It is May 18th -May 27th!!!! I can't wait to go and buy him some clothes for the trip!!!!
It will be our 5th annual family vacation to WDW!!! 5 yrs of "Magic"!!!!
I know he will be at WDW ALOT but we don't have anything else in the works right now.
He would add that extra touch of "Magic" to our trip if he doesn't already have any plans!

Now I have to add 1 more to our party!!!!! Oh and I have to pack for him and make plans for him too!!!! He's under 3yrs so tickets won't be a problem and he can be a lap bear on the plane! I don't think he will need the dining plan, my pumpkin can share with him. he may not make some of the height requirements but we can alwasy to the parent swap thing! I may have to get a back back carrier for him so he can look around and enjoy all the sites. With a stroller he will be just to close to the ground and looking at legs all day long, no fun at all! I just know he is going to love the Country Bear Jamboree!!!! So many things to plan for!!!!!!!!!! I better get started!

woops! I hadn't realized Buddy would be available to come with us so soon!! But we'd be oh so glad to have him join us...where is he right now?
BTW, my return date is December 2nd. I don't know if that would be enough time to get Buddy to Beth...even if I mailed him on that Monday, December 4th, he would need to get to Beth in two days!!

If you really want, Beth, you can just be the first to take our furry friend to Disney World...just let me know!

Buddy Adoption Day is the 15th of November!

Ahanalira and Alan,Kimmy and CoreyBear,Rudy and I are planning a big coming out party at Disneyland.

Then he will be on his way to you,Minderlla for his introduction to WDW!!!

I think that he will need more travel time,so he will need to skip his trip to Saratoga Springs.

You just send him on his way to the next person in line.

Aaaaw, Beth, that is SO sweet of you

.....if you want, you can take him back to Minnesota with you, and then he can accompany you on your trip to WDW...I don't mind. I know there will plenty of time to get him for another trip!!

Joyce you could always find out where Beth is staying and have left there for her. Or have your resort send it to her resort Just a suggestion

OKay I added the ending date, Minderella.

Yes, one downfall is when trips are so close that we can't get Buddy to the next person on time. Amie might be onto something though...is there a way to make arrangements for Buddy to "meet" Beth and Rudy at Disneyworld?

Oh my gosh! That is a great idea!!

I can always try!! I wouldn't mind bringing him right to Saratoga Springs and leaving him in the care of a "Buddy-sitter"!!!
I will definitely do that!! (and let you know, of course)

!!! Beth! I guess if there's a will, there's a way, you just may be seeing Buddy on your December trip afterall!!!

Kimmy,

I am heading to Niagara Falls on January 19th, so if you think you could get Buddy to me by the 18th he could do Mexico and Canada in one week.

Buddy is back with me. The bears sent him on to me and Beth is talking about wanting him for a baseball game. The next scheduled stop is May 18 with Obsessed's family. I will be sending him off to Beth's shortly...but if anyone wants Buddy after Beth and before May 18, please feel free to request. Also requests for after May are being accepted so that Obsessed can send him on to someone. :) Thanks everyone. Buddy is already quite the world traveler.

Hi Ahnalira,
I just sent him off to Beth. She wanted him for March 6th. I don't know if she will be done with him or have time to send him off to you. I am not sure what she wanted him for, I think it was for Baseball. Since no one was scheduled, I went ahead and sent him off to her.

I know it's 182 days out and all....but I wanted to request Buddy for our annual September trip. We'll be at the World from Sept 10-17th and we'd love to have Buddy!!!! We're making dining reservations in a few days so I thought I'd make it official! Pretty please....maybe if he's at our annual Chicago meet, he can be handed off to me there. (That's August...when Beth and Rudy come...)
