OLP enjoys a delicious gourmet dinner at Narcoossee's Restaurant in Disney's Grand Floridian Resort.
One strolls the grounds of the Grand Floridian Resort to find Narcoosssee's Restaurant at the water's edge.
Narcoossee's grows their herbs fresh in the garden by the front entrance!
The waiting area sets the tone of the restaurant with simple furnishings of beautiful woods..
The colors are very nautical, representing the fresh seafood focus of the restaurant.
We began with appetizers...
Mussels in a garlic broth
Chicken dumplings (ie potstickers; >)
Antipasti plate (sans proscuitto for me)
Mixed field greens
and Butternut squash with blue crab soup
All of them got hearty applause from reviewers, and the soup took first place.
For entrees we chose:
Colorado lamb chops
and Filet mignon with mushrooms and potatoes augratin
The chicken took first place, and the lamb only got one thumb's up.
Ah, dessert! Of course, there was a sugar free selection, and it won accolades for taste, texture, and creativity.
The Tiramasu was also exclaimed over with relish; >)
We watched the fireworks over the castle from our seats, and all of agreed Narcoossee's was a Disney meal worth $$$ we spent.
Well, this wasn't quite the amazing surprise that it was last time we dined at Narcoosee's. When I consider the price, I feel that it really only warrants a 4!
To start with, I ordered a Caesar's salad and Ahnalira got the beet salad. These were good but neither of us felt wow'ed by it. This was followed by a gluten-free pasta with shrimp, tomatoes and assorted other items. Although I appreciated the effort to make a gluten-free pasta dish I just am not a fan of this type of penne pasta. The shrimp was cooked to perfection however. Ahnalira ordered the pork chop which we both thought was absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked. Since I didn't finish the pasta, they did take it off the bill which I appreciated.
We finished the meal with the sugar-free chocolate torte which was good, but again it fell short of greatness. I
I don't know where to begin with what i love about this restaurant. Location on the water--check. Beautiful environment--check. Fresh seafood--check. Exquisite presentation--check. And SO tasty--check. What's not to love?!
Everything--I mean EVERYTHING--was perfection! I had a tomato salad, a "deconstructued" Chicken pot pie, and the BEST no sugar added Chocolate Torte EVER! Thinking about this meal makes me hungry for another visit. That's for sure :D
We had dinner at Narcoossee's last night and I was completely taken by surprise -- in a very good way that is. This was probably the best meal of the trip (with California Grill a very close 2nd) which was a shocker for me. We started out with sourdough bread which was so fresh and absolutely delicious, I almost skipped the rest of the meal and took that half loaf of freshly backed sourdough off in a corner with the large pat of salted butter. Fortunately I decided to control myself because my crab cake appetizer was really excellent as well, a fresh corn relish really complemented the slightly crispy little crab cakes and tartar sauce. Ahnalira had a heritage tomato salad which was also quite good. For entree I had the Filet Mignon which was just a pack of flavor, with a really solid sear which sealed in some great flavors. The Filet was so tender I could cut it with my fork. Combine that with so
To all staff and managers,
Thank you, thank you, so very much for making my Mother's 80th birthday such a magical time. We were at the park all day, but the best was yet to come when Debby came to our table. We all clicked immediately, and she was truly a gem to meet. From start to finish, her execution seemed perfect. With gourmet dining, when the service outshines the meal, you know you've got someone special. I tip my hat to the operations that made this evening unforgettably perfect. Thank you once again.

Our meal was amazing! No wait, castle view, great service and wonderful food!! I dont think I could ever go to Disney World and not eat at this incredible restaurant. My husband and I both had the crab cakes, which was to die for. Then we had the Grilled Filet Mignon and Butter-Poached Lobster Tail ... WOW!! Then for desert we had the Almond-crusted Cheesecake with Lambert Cherry Sauce. I wanted to lick my plate!! SOOOO good!! If you want an great meal in a beautiful setting run to Narcoossees!!
We ate at Narcoossees 1/13/07 and it was the best meal of our honeymoon. We had ADR's for 6:00 and had NO wait. We were seated by the window, and when we met our sweet server we told her we were on our honeymoon, and we got free champagne. My husband ordered the crab cakes and a 2 and 1/4 pound maine lobster which he loved, and I had a cheese plate appetizer and the filet mignon. It is the BEST I have EVER had. Whatever kind of sauce they put is excellent. We had the almond crusted cheesecake for dessert and the sorbet, both great... Cheesecake to die for! A nice plus was not a lot of noisy kids - very romantic, and great view of Wishes and the castle! A++++
