Here we are, adventurous OLP always available to research for you; >), at Boatwrights Restaurant in the Port Orleans, Riverside Resort.
We started with salads, light and fresh, with a raspberry vinigrette that met our no sugar added standard:)
Alan ordered the Jambalaya and was well pleased with the assortment of meats in it and the over all flavor.
Ahnalira LOVED her Tilapia! On the menu, it's described as "blackened", but she opted for no rub to maintain the no sugar added standard, and it was SO fresh she said it needed nothing more. The stewed green tomatoes as a the side made her roll her eyes with happiness :)
And then there was dessert... a no sugar added Lemon Pound Cake. Served "Strawberry Shortcake style" with fresh strawberries and whipped cream, Ahnalira meant to share with Alan, but it was too good. She ate the whole dessert herself!
All in all, we were happy reviewers. The entrees averaged between $15 and $20... made quite reasonable, Alan felt, with a 20% Disney Dining discount we subtracted from that price. We gave the meal at Boatwrights a solid four thumbs up rating for service, quality, and presentation.
We gave the view as we strolled around the Port Orleans Resort after dinner a wholehearted "EXCELLENT!"
