OLP Review:
Raglan Road is very coveniently located at the entrance of Pleasure Island. If you go during the day, sunlight shines through the stained glass windows, creating a magical Irish ambiance.
If you go during the evening, the ambiance is more pub-like with dark woods and a boisterous atmosphere.

We chose Irish Beef Stew

and Chicken Pot Pie

The food was good, but the noise factor detracted from our ability to enjoy it. Of course, we are tea-totalers Folks more inclined to imbibe might fare better with this atmosphere.
On the other hand, an afternoon visit - when it's quieter - was quite delightful for us

Loved it! 6/1/2010 by Cindy B We ate here for the first time (May 2010) and our whole family loved the food! My husband and I both had the fish and chips. I was a little reluctant to try that because I thought it looked more like a snack than a meal, but it was quite filling. Not at all like the fast food fish that I thought it would be! One of our daughters had the Shepherd's Pie and we all liked it, too. The picky one of our group, our oldest daughter, got the batter coated deep fried sausages with mashed potatoes. Hers was excellent also. We had reservations for 6:30, but arrived before 6pm. I asked about being seated earlier, and we were seated immediately! It was a little loud, but I have learned that there are very few quiet restaurants at Disney. But, hey, you're at Disney, who cares?!Read reviews by this author Something different and loud! 9/1/2008 by Ser Alan Irish Pubs seem to be hot now, and Raglan Road is no exception to that. We visited here on a couple of different occasions. The first time we stopped in for an afternoon Iced Tea and conversation with some good friends and found the ambience to be thoroughly delightful and pleasant all the way around! That visit would have gotten a 5.
Second visit was a very rainy evening and the place was packed. We waited for a table, and when we got the table the noise was almost overwhelming... I guess thats why they call it a Pub and Restaurant . We ordered some soup and dinner, both of which were tastey but not extraordinary. I may have Irish in my blood but it didn't make it to my palate apparently!
Anyway, given the incredible level of noise and food that didn't excite me overmuch I'd give it a 3 for that experience. So I averaged it out to a 4. Just be aware that this is a popular dinner spot and it gets really noisey in there, I think the open air design just makes the noise build on itself or something. All in all, if you've never done the Irish Pub thing and you like lively environments you might want to at least give Raglan Road a try. If you like a more peaceful eating experience you might want to come during off hours!Read reviews by this author
