OLP Review:

Hoop De Doo!  That's just how this show feels  Everyone arrives early at Pioneer Square at Fort Wilderness and waits with eager anticipation...

The seating is all around the stage..

Food is served Family-Style; buckets of salad, fried chicken, etc

But the best part of this meal is the entertainment!  Funny, talented actors sing and dance make witty repartee with the audience members.

They even invite members of the audience up to join in the fun...

And everyone gets to come out for the final bow.  It's fun for everyone...  but especially for family members of the 'actors'

Even the waiters and waitresses get into the show here...  the BIG finale is dessert!

While we wouldn't return here for the food (Go to the Trailblazer Buffet for the same menu at a much reduced price; >), we will come back here again and again and again for the show

I've seen this show 4 times and just love it! The food is good; the sangria is great, and seems to get better throughout the evening - lolRead reviews by this author

Funny show, food so-so.1/3/2009 by Ser Alan
We visited this venerated Disney dinner show during the Holiday season.  We really put them to the test with our special orders, and they had a bit of trouble with the whole concept.  Overall I would say the food was pretty humdrum, the highlight for me being the fried chicken which was pretty good.  Service was not especially good, fast and rather brusque.  However, our server did a great job of keeping my mug of diet coke full, I have to give them props for that   The show itself is humorous and corny, and especially good since our son got to play the Indian during one of the skits

I can't say I am dying to go back, but it is a fun show and every Disneyworld fan should have this experience it at least once!Read reviews by this author

Hoop it up....3/30/2006 by Gerry

My family went to the Hoop Dee Doo for the first time in June 2005. My daughter (3) and my son (5) had a blast! My son was invited on stage to play the role of the sheriff in the 7:30 performace. He was thrilled to death, he felt like he was a real actor and everyone after the show made him feel like a star. He got a special framed picture of himself and autographed photos of the cast. The food was exceptional for a family, and was well worth cashing in two dining plan meals. My wife and I really enjoyed the Sangria, which is included in the meal. Our kids loved the lemonade and shortcake. We would love to go back again. It was easy to get to, we just took the boat from our hotel the Wilderness Lodge (which Id also rate as 5 out of 5).

Fun,fun and more fun
12/3/2004 by Scott Junken
We have been 3 times and are set to return this May for our forth. This is truely one of WDWs best. It is a family orientated dinner show that will have you hoping for a return trip. The show is kind of corny but very funny and the food is served family style in small buckets. It concists of corn, chicken, ribs and salad. Your servers make a show out of presenting you your strawberry shortcake. Drinks are included as well as the tip. I only hope Disney does not change this show at all, it is a classic..smj Read reviews by this author

Hoop Dee Doo
9/15/2003 by Denise
Not only was the show one of the funniest Ive seen in person in a looooooooooong time, but the food wasnt bad either. Hubby and I dont eat ribs so I called up and had them prepare fish for him. I was fine with just the chicken, but I didnt want him to be hungry. When we arrived for our show, I didnt have to tell the server one thing about our special order, she was one step ahead of me! The shortcake was good enough to make me want to slap my momma!!!! I think I had more of that than anything else. For the price you pay, the Hoop Dee Doo is worth it....food and entertainment wise. May 2003

My 7 year old daughter laughed the entire time we were there! She have sooo much fun. We had really great seats, book early, front center! Beer is all you care to drink and the food is all you care to eat. The food isnt worth the money but the show makes up for what the food lacks. We were served fried chicken, ribs with too much bbq sauce, corn with green/red peppers, salad, and bread. I enjoyed watching my daughter have so much fun. The show is a little corny but the kids sem to love it. Its nice and cool in the dinning area but the restrooms are located outside and the tables are really crammed together, its hard to get up and move around. The desert was strawberry shortcake and it was YUMMY! We only received 2 for the three in our party which was more than plently but a little cheap considering what the meal costs. We were fine with what we had but could have eaten the third if offered. We didnt eat much for dinner! The food is so-so but the show and dessert are great!Read reviews by this author

Hoop de Doo, Dont miss it
6/6/2003 by Bob N
We are getting ready to go on our 7th trip to Disney World as well as our 7th trip to Hoop de Doo, it is a really funny show and the food is great. Even though the actors have changed over the last 8 years, the performance is always great and they do a great job getting the audience involved in the show. You can make reservations up to 2 years in advance I believe and the sooner you make them the better. The only thing I would recommend is if you have little kids, try not to do the 9:15 PM show because by the time you eat the kids are worn out and tend to get cranky before the show is over. It is a blast for all ages and I wouldnt miss it.Read reviews by this author

Hoop-Dee-Doo - DO!
6/6/2003 by Gail
Our first time was in December, 2000. We did not know what to expect. They ushered us right up to the very front, middle, right below the stage! What a blast! In November of 2002 we wondered what seats we would get. Yup! Same table! This year we are taking friends with us to share the magic because we always have a great time, eat a bunch of good food, laugh, sing, and ENJOY!Read reviews by this author

hoop de doo
6/5/2003 by Danielle
This show is a MUST SEE! We went with our 4 children (6,5,3,& 1 yrs.) in Sept. 2002 and were a little concerned about whether they would enjoy it (especially since it cost so much)and they loved it as much as we had the first time we saw it ( Sept. 98). The food is great and the show is worth every penny! We will see this every time! Also my kids are picky eaters and our server brought offered them a choice between pizza, mac & cheese, or a hot dog so they were happy.Read reviews by this author

Pretty Awesome
6/4/2003 by Michelle
We had the best time at the show. The meal was out of this world, the show was extremely funny. My daughter who is 5, we really didnt think she would enjoy it, since it was more for the adults. Well, she laughed so hard she almost fell off the chair. We didnt expect to have so much to eat. The only thing my daughter didnt like was the corn which she said it was just a bit spicy, and the ribs. But the rest of us enjoyed every minute of our dining expierence.

I even called work, and told my friends who are planning a trip to Disney next year, to make sure they go and see this show. Thanks again for letting us enjoy ourselves in a fantastic atomsphere. We were there for Mothers Day 03, and it was wonderful.Read reviews by this author
