Garden Grove Breakfast
Located in the SWAN hotel,
The Garden Grove serves breakfast and lunch (with characters on the weekend mornings)
The seating is very 'garden-like', n'est-ce pas? And the tabletops are light and fresh looking, I think.
For breakfast, there is either a full buffet option for menus for table service. The buffet is comprehensive, offering
a variety of specialties like crepes and eggs benedict,
a 'made to order' omelette station
the basics ; >)
and a 'signature' oatmeal station
We opted to order off of the menu. Alan got a Mickey Waffle (sans the powdered sugar; >) which he gave a two thumbs up... the perfect waffle!
I got the Vegetable Skillet, and it gets a rave review as well! The vegetables were perfectly sauteed, and I really liked having it layered so I could eat jus the right amount of potatoes; >) One of the best features of this meal, though, is the never ending glass of fresh squeezed OJ
that comes free with the buffet and for $3.50 ala carte
The restaurant has a very 'adult' ambiance compared to onsite Disney restaurants, and the price was moderate... $30 for two, including tax and gratuity. The quality of the food at the Garden Grove makes this restaurant worth the trip to the SWAN if you are staying elsewhere, imho, AND they have sugar-free bran muffins right on the menu:)
