Via Napoli Lunch Review

OLP and friends review another great lunch at Via Napoli, Italy, World Showcase, Epcot, Walt Disney World

Via Napoli Review

Via Napoli Review by OLP at lunchtime, Italy, Epcot®, Walt Disney World

OLP Review:

Via Napoli

Located next door to Tutto Italia at the rear of the pavilion, Via Napoli offers Italy's newest eatery venue.

The entrance is vast and filled with welcoming light.

Seating simple - HUGE restaurant and the combination of lots of tables and lots of space makes for lots of noise :P

We started with Mozzarella Salad. Delicious!

But the Greens Salad won both of our votes for BEST:) Chopped green beans, shaved fennel, and parmigiano... YUM!

My Eggplant Parmesan was, without any doubt, the best I've ever tasted (and I order this dish often; >)

The side Pasta Torte that came with my meal was unique and tasty.

Alan enjoyed his gourmet pizza as well.  He said he could smell the truffle oil and loved it!

At about $30 per person (appetizer, entree, and beverage), we are putting Via Napoli on our must eat here again list!  The food is so good, we didn't mind the noise.

never disappoints
12/4/2014 by Christee Thomas

No trip can be complete without visiting Via Napoli.  We usually go a little over board here because everything is so good.  We start out with appetizers Calamari frutti and the Prosciutto e Melone are favorites.  The pizza no matter how you order it, simply delicious.   We will be back again and again.

Looks Yummy!

Ohhhh, the eggplant looks so yummy! I haven't been to this restaurant, but the pictures at OLP make me really want to try it now! So many decisions to make at Epcot. lol

Via Napoli, oh so good!!!!

This place never disappoints.  Everything is bellissimo!  We got an appetizer, Fritto Misto - a little of everything,  an assortment of just-fried seasonal vegetables, calamari & cheese.  We then built a pizza with prosciutto is was perfect.  The spaghetti with veal meatballs, oh my.  I will definately be back.
Back for another round!

Went with a group of four this time, so we got to taste a few other things. I went with the pizza Carciofi again (you can smell that truffle oil coming in!) and it knocked my socks off yet again! Our friend JJ ordered the prosciutto/meat pizza and we both agreed that his pizza was quite delicious as well. Ahnalira ordered an eggplant entree which she just loves -- it was so good that I could barely believe that eggplant could be that good (I hated eggplant before I met my wife!) She told me it is the best eggplant she has ever tasted anywhere! Christee ordered spaghetti with veal meatballs which she enjoyed as well -- I tasted the meatball and it was one of the best meatballs I've ever tasted. So I'm sticking with my five rating, still one of my favorite Epcot restaurants!
A new fave lunch spot at Epcot!

We tried lunch at the new Via Napoli for the first time -- and we were totally impressed in so many ways!  This is an airy, light restaurant which is beautiful to look at -- but a bit noisy when it gets crowded.  The menu is so interesting that we are eager to come back and try some other items.  Price is moderate by Disney standards -- my individual pizza was about $18, expect to spend around $40 for two for lunch with a pretty basic lunch.

I ordered the Mozzarella Caprese for an appetizer, the mozzarella and olive oil were truly excellent but the mediocre tomatoes undermined the dish a bit.  I then ordered the pizza Carciola (or something like that) -- this is a "white" pizza (no tomato sauce) with truffle oil, fresh (I think?) artichoke pieces and cheese.  The crust was good but a bit on the soft side (I like my pizza crust to be crusty!).  However the flavor was out of this world, I could
Dining for 2....Not!

We ate at Via Napoli on our last day in Disney on Nov.16. Mostly it was a positive experience, the food was really good. I had the 4 cheese pizza and my cousin had the sausage pizza. both extremely good. and the dessert, I don't even know what it was called, but it came in a really tall glass was divine. My only complaint about this place, when you only have 2 people in your party you are seated at a large dining table in the middle of the floor that seats about 20. All other parties of 3 or more get private tables. While we met a lovely young couple expecting their first child during our meal, it is not my preferred dining style and the next time I go back (and I will), I will ask for the outside terrace dining.
Via Napoli.... OK
9/13/2010 by DizneyDonna

Epcot's latest edition in their repertoire of ethnic dining locations is just "OK" in my humble opinion.  Perhaps it was just the type of pizza that I ordered that was the poor choice.  What sounded like a perfect pairing for my taste buds, the Quattro Scagioni (eggplant, mushrooms, artichoke, and parma cotto ham), turned out to be a disappointment.  I do have to say in all fairness, that the pizza sauce was divine.  I just wish that they'd put more of it on the pizza as it was pretty scarce.  I'm guessing that they were probably trying not to overpower the rest of the flavors, but honestly, the sauce was the best part.  It was VERY fresh, tasting practically like they had just picked the tomatoes out the garden that day.  The eggplant on the pizza tasted like it had been dehydrated, with a very dry and chewy consistency.  My dining partner had the pepperoni pizza, which I'

The menu for this brand new restaurant, set to open on August 5, 2010, looks delicious!!!  I will be visiting Via Napoli, in Italy, at Epcot, in Walt Disney World!

Appetizers: Sicilian eggplant with olives and raisins; salad of lettuce, fagiolini (string beans), fennel and tomatoes; arancini (fried saffron risotto balls) with meat ragù, mozzarella and pomodoro sauce; corn-crusted fried calamari; and minestrone with basil pesto. Or share a plate of arancini, mozzarella, calamari, portobella mushrooms, asparagus, zucchini and carciofi (artichokes).

Main course salads:
Manzo (filet of beef) with greens, red onion, gorgonzola, apple and cucumber with a red wine-mustard vinaigrette; chopped salad with lemon chicken, greens, cantaloupe, cucumber, red pepper, green beans, onions, almonds and pasta crisps with honey-citrus vinaigrette; calamari with arugula, carrots
