Cutest themed resort!
7/15/2016 by Tonya
Even though I haven't stayed here, I did take a peek on a recent trip. Oh gosh, the pool... it was so cute! Huge! I wanted to lounge around there. We walked to some of the different themed buildings. We loved the Cars one. Took a million pictures and then headed to another area. Each area had it's own theme. It was just way too cute. I really want to stay here one day.
Great Value Option
10/28/2015 by Ahnalira

I love all the space in this value resort option... and the theming is TOO cute!  I also liked the interior halls.  The counter service restaurant, Landscape of Flavors, is perhaps the best I've experienced at Disney World.  All in all, a great value option.

WOW is all I can say! I must admit I was pleasantly surprised by this value resort! Myself and my son's family stayed here this past Feb (2014) I stayed in a Lion King wheelchair accessible suite which was very spacious and very easy to maneuver, while he stayed in a Finding Nemo suite. The decor was very well done! I was also impressed that if they know you are traveling with a service dog, they clean the room with something different that will not set off an allergic reaction in dogs feet! My poor service dog had itchy feet while staying at a different resort he didn't while staying at Art of Animation! So note for those traveling with a service dog, let me know at time of booking so they have time to reclean the room! The only downfall was the walk across the parking lot to have my pup relieve himself. After a long day of walking the parks the last thing you want to do is hike across a huge parking lot! It did give him ample space to run around a bit in the morning to have
Small family suite
6/19/2013 by Crystal Barnes

The resort itself is beautiful and the kids loved it. The staff leaves something to be desired. I have always heard that the staff at Disney were always the best and friendliest. I didn't find that to be true for this resort. The staff at the parks, and other resorts we visited were great though! The family suite rooms are smaller than what they seemed online. I went everywhere looking for the sq footage of the suite, as well as checking with our agent, so we didn't know what the expect.  It was certainly pretty though!

Nice and Fun Resort
1/26/2013 by Dizney Donna

We stayed here a few nights when the property had only been opened about 2 1/2 months.  The Little Mermaid Standard Room section was not yet opened. There are lots of beautiful colors everywhere, larger than life icons and a huge, beautiful Nemo-themed pool area complete with playground.  The pool area is HUGE and although we didn't get it, we heard that it had an underground sound system so that you could hear music and Nemo characters talking when under the water.  The common areas were very nicely done with lots of attention to detail. Concerning "attention to detail"  I think the Cars area won out, in my mind. I felt as though I had actually stepped into the movie's Radiator Springs when walking through this area.  And the quiet pool in this area, also, was a nice touch (complete with shaded cabanas shaped like tr

Great but not for everyone

We stayed for 4 nights in November 2012 at the little mermaid section( single room not a suite). The room was great for a standard Disney room. But it is a long walk to buses and the main building. We would drive to the check in parking area when going to the buses or main building. As far as Disney decor for this hotel it blows all others away. You can feel like your part of several Disney movies and the little mermaid pool plays music underwater. The housekeeping staff was the best we have ever had at Disney so far(about 25 hotel stays in all). Can't wait to return for another visit.
Blown away!!!
12/26/2012 by Tanya Rossi

We stayed December 14-18th it was fantastic!!!! For a value resort I was surprised at how nice everything was!!! They are extremely kid friendly!!!! We stayed in the cars suite which was like a one bed apartment. Very roomy seeing there where 5 of us! It's like you just stepped into the movie!!!! The pools where great too!! The only down point was the food... The food in the resort was all quick serve but not great quality! I will stay there again!!!!!

Best of the Value Resorts
12/2/2012 by Ser Alan

We stayed in the Cars Suite at the Art of Animation resort over Thanksgiving weekend.  For us this was a new experience, we don't stay in value resorts very often.  The room was inexpensively furnished with lots of clever Cars themed touches -- dressers that looked like tool boxes for instance -- and had ample space for the two of us.  Dear to my heart, they had a nice up to date multi-media station so I could easily plug in my iPod to the tv.

The down side of all value resorts is that you only have one eatery option.  The landscape of flavors is one of my favorite counter service options and we got to eat there several times during our stay.  One note: this place gets packed at breakfast time, I think everybody in the resort catches breakfast on the way out to the parks!  Lunch and Dinner were much more moderately crowded.

All in all, the Cars section was fun and the 1

We stayed at Art of Animation from Nov4-11.2012. Everything from the pool, gift shop and the food court even the rooms and the decor of the building's was great. The ONLY bad thing was the little mermaid section was so far away from everything. If I would ever stay there again it would be in the family suite....

Beautiful BUT!
10/23/2012 by Chelsea
This resort was absolutely beautiful , we stayed there in sept 2012 for 10 days . The resort itself was great, the food was great ,pool was awesome , the gift shop was beautiful ! HOWEVER! I would NEVER. Stay In the little mermaid section EVER AGAIN ! We were in building #8, it was a 10-15 minute walk to the buses & meal hall & to get a drink . After walking all day at the parks it really put a damper on being back at the resort knowing we had that long walk as well . Exhausting ! Nothing convenient about it ! We had 2 70+ ladies with us and by the time we got to the buses they were done for! Pop century resort looked like it was closer to walk to then our own bus stop (to bad it's seperated by water) Like I said , beautiful resort ! BUT if you're considering staying here , I'd recommend nemo or lion king section (we were hearing complaints about the distance of the cars section to) Considered checking out ( as others were doing ) & moving to another

Art of Animation Little Mermaid Section Open!
9/23/2012 by Franniepoppins

The newest Disney resort in Walt Disney World is Art of Animation.  It has been opening in sections.  On September 15, 2012 The Little Mermaid section opened.  This is the section that has standard rooms.  In fact, there are 864 standard rooms in The Little Mermaid section.  The pool is called the Flippin' Fins Pool!  That really sounds fun.  You will find large icons of Ariel, Flounder, Ursula, and King Triton located throughout The Little Mermaid section.  I am excited to stay here!

extraordinary resort

Just stayed in the new Nemo wing of the resort with my 5 & 7 year old children the first week of July 2012. wonderful and spacious rooms with a beautiful Nemo decor, and the huge Nemo themed pool was magical. Many amenities, close to the parks, and your kids will love it. We have stayed at the contemporary, grand Floridian, bay lake towers, and bonnet creek over the last 4 years, and my family agrees that we will return to art of animation on our next visit. Even though it's listed as a value resort it is as nice and luxurious as most of the other resorts listed (at a fraction of the cost) and the most kid friendly. You won't be disappointed and staying on Disney property is so worth it if you have kids or want to take advantage of the extra magic hours (best time to go to the parks, especially for rides without waits). Also excellent for disabled guests!
Cant wait

Stayinh here in Sept !!! Can't wait !!
Art of Animation Marquee in Place
2/21/2012 by Franniepoppins

I am really getting excited about the newest resort being built in Walt Disney World.  Disney answered the need for more family friendly accommodations with the new Art of Animation Resort.  It looks to be another larger then life Disney vacation experience, and larger is a good word for sure to describe it.  Disney put the marquee in place for this new resort.  It is the largest free standing marquee on Walt Disney World property, measuring at 46 feet and 6 inches.  It will only be a couple of months and this fun resort will be open!!  I plan on staying there in December of 2012.

Looks fun
