Raglan Road is very coveniently located at the entrance of Pleasure Island. If you go during the day, sunlight shines through the stained glass windows, creating a magical Irish ambiance.
If you go during the evening, the ambiance is more pub-like with dark woods and a boisterous atmosphere.
We chose Irish Beef Stew
and Chicken Pot Pie
The food was good, but the noise factor detracted from our ability to enjoy it. Of course, we are tea-totalers Folks more inclined to imbibe might fare better with this atmosphere.
On the other hand, an afternoon visit - when it's quieter - was quite delightful for us

I'll just say up front that Raglan Road gets a five because they have the best fish and chips I've ever tasted AND it's all gluten-free!
We stopped in for a nice lunch here shortly after New Year's day on a cool rainy day, eagerly anticipating the fried gluten-free options. It really is a magical place at Disney World if you're gluten-free! We discovered that they also have gluten-free onion rings so we both promptly ordered that as well.
Ahnalira decided to go with the creamy tomato soup as it was a Florida-chilly day. It was a delicious warm tomatoey treat which we both thoroughly enjoyed to the last drop. We both ordered the onion rings which about the size of donuts. I'm afraid I wouldn't order these again as they were a bit over breaded for my taste -- to the point where the onions themselves were kind of lost in the do
We ate there recently and were surprised and delighted by the live show. It made the dinner! The food was good, too. I loved reading the menu. These guys have a sense of humor. That said, I only gave it a 4 because it's really noisy--not a place to go if you want to hear what your tablemates say.
Stopped in for a cold one on a hot afternon and was very pleasantly surprised. The decor is breathtaking! It wasn't a meal time so we didn't order any food, but I must say the menu looks really good--and whoever wrote has a great sense of humor. Definitely a must do for next time.
Just a couple of days ago I had a truly delicious meal at Raglan Road. Since we are eating gluten-free lately I decided to try out the gluten-free fish and chips -- and it was spectacular, making my rating an instant 5!! The crust was crispy and delicious, while the cod inside was really fresh, lightly cooked, tender, delicately flavored, and moist. Honestly, this was the best fish and chips that I've ever had -- and being gluten-free was the icing on the cake!
The chips were good too and the iced tea better than average. They had quite a lively series of live performances ranging from a folksy acoustic band to a group of river dancers. The shows were great, if a bit on the loud side for my tastes.
Ahnalira had the 'It's not a bleedin' chowder' dish which really wasn't a chowder but it was quite a delicio
It's not often that I order Fish & Chips... too many carbs for my diabetic lifestyle. But Raglan Road has a gluten-free option that is coated in chickpea flour (half carb and half protein - that's what chick peas are
) so I gave it a go and got a side of green beans to eat instead of the fries. It was delicious - especially after a hefty dose of malt vinegar. The fish was light and flaky - melted in my mouth, and the green beans were fresh and lightly steamed so that they still had a crunch on them. I really enjoyed being able to eat an old favorite and maintain my low carb lifestyle. Two thumbs up for me!
We ate here for the first time (May 2010) and our whole family loved the food! My husband and I both had the fish and chips. I was a little reluctant to try that because I thought it looked more like a snack than a meal, but it was quite filling. Not at all like the fast food fish that I thought it would be! One of our daughters had the Shepherd's Pie and we all liked it, too. The picky one of our group, our oldest daughter, got the batter coated deep fried sausages with mashed potatoes. Hers was excellent also. We had reservations for 6:30, but arrived before 6pm. I asked about being seated earlier, and we were seated immediately! It was a little loud, but I have learned that there are very few quiet restaurants at Disney. But, hey, you're at Disney, who cares?!
Irish Pubs seem to be hot now, and Raglan Road is no exception to that. We visited here on a couple of different occasions. The first time we stopped in for an afternoon Iced Tea and conversation with some good friends and found the ambience to be thoroughly delightful and pleasant all the way around! That visit would have gotten a 5.
Second visit was a very rainy evening and the place was packed. We waited for a table, and when we got the table the noise was almost overwhelming... I guess thats why they call it a Pub and Restaurant
. We ordered some soup and dinner, both of which were tastey but not extraordinary. I may have Irish in my blood but it didn't make it to my palate apparently!
Anyway, given the incredible level of noise and food that didn't excite
