It's been awhile since we've dined at the San Angel Inn in Mexico so we decided to check it out again and see if it had changed from what we thought to be two thumbs horizontal to two thumbs up   The walk to the Pyramid in which Mexico resides "ala Disney World" in the World Showcase at Epcot is always enjoyable, and we were ready for the twilight temperatures of a tropical Mexico.

We enter from the town plaza...

but our dining view is of a more ancient time.

As you can see, the tables are placed "cozily" near one another.

First came the warm chips with a spicy salsa

Alan ordered the Plato Mexicano which a had a sampling of Mexican offerings.   He LOVED the enchilada, and thought everything else other than the beef was tasty.  The beef got the Alan look of "No thanks." after he tasted it.

I don't remember the name of mine, but it was DELICIOUS!   Roast turkey covered with a VERY spicy pumpkin seed sauce and served with a fruit salad that went perfectly with the spicy sauce!

No sugar free desserts at the San Angel Inn... not even if you call ahead... so be prepared to either wander over to Norway for the sugar free chocolate mousse in La Kringla Bakeri; >)

Our meal was moderate by Disney standards at $35.00, and we were both satisfied

Great dining environment :)
3/17/2016 by Jodi
I really love the ambiance at this restaurant. It's so relaxing and really immerses you in the feel of being in Mexico. I was really looking forward to dining here. I was disappointed with how small and limited the menu was, though. We aren't a picky family, but it would have been nice to have a few more options. What I ended up ordering was good, though. This is a great place to experience, but definitely wasn't the highlight of our trip.
Setting the Record Straight

The ambiance and decoration, great, actually sign me up for a tour. But l, when we go to restaurants, we want one thing, FOOD. I like Mexican food. Enchiladas and the rice is my favorite. So that's what I ordered. So when it comes to me, it looks: appetizing. Yet, the sauce looked, very, uh, red and plain. So I take a bite of my enchilada. YUCK!!!!!!! The sauce is plain, bland, and just gross. I look down at it with my "oh my gosh, your disgusting look". So I try my rice, thinking," kinda hard to go wrong with rice." I was wrong again. Another bland item. Food: One of the most horrid things that had my displeasure if going down my throught. So my server comes over and asks how things were, "great," I lied. So if you are going to eat here, listen to me please, NEVER GO HERE, IT IS DISGUSTING!!!!!!!!!!!
