Lovely, but..... on 9/29/2014 by Jodi
My 14 year old son and I stayed at Yacht Club Sept 2014. Having stayed at Beach Club during my last Disney trip, I was excited to try her sister resort. Make no mistakes, Yacht Club is GORGEOUS! Everything was shining and spotless. Every single cast member I had contact with there was wonderful, too. Mousekeeping did a wonderful job as well. However, there were some drawbacks to this resort that will probably lead me to return to Beach Club for my next vacation. One HUGE drawback was the lacking of a quick service location or even a true 'grab and go' location. There was a tiny little nook that had coffee in the mornings and you could get a few items like muffins and such. That was it. If you wanted hot tea or a soda in the morning, then you'd better plan to make the walk to Beach Club. And while it isn't far, it's still a pretty decent walk there

Fantastic, what dreams are made of resort! on 8/6/2011 by Melissa
I stayed in the Yacht Club Resort in August 2010 for 2 weeks on my honeymoon.. It was fantastic!! Such a welcoming resort, beautiful scenery, beautiful rooms, kept to the highest of standards! The people who work there are so pleasent and polite! You are greeted every evening coming into the resort by a captain! Regardless of what time, there is someone there! It also has the most wonderful, magical smell! I actually said I wish I could take the smell home in a bottle! I really loved my stay there, everything was perfect! If I could I would go back in the morning! :-) magical!!

The yacht club on 6/19/2011 by Jowana
I found the this to be very wonderful. It did feel like you were at a beach side resort. The yacht club was right next door to the boardwalk which was even better for entertament experience . I did love staying at this resort and as usual the Disney staff always went past standard service. To sum it up, this is one of the resorts to be on your list if you love the beach type scenery. Your friendly Disney helper, Jowana

Awesome !!! on 4/15/2010 by Jeff anderson
Stayed 5 nights in August 08. Very nice resort. Easy walk or boat ride to Epcot or Hollywood Studios. The Boardwalk is just across the lake. Be sure to stop there for a meal or a stroll on the lakefront. Planning on going back this summer. Also the pool is very very nice.

WDW Yacht Club - Illuminations Viewing spot on 12/11/2009 by Franniepoppins
I stayed at Disney's Yacht Club Resort in November of 2009 for three nights, for the Earmarked Conference. The resort itself is very pretty, and the service really is top notch. I love the feeling of being greeted so warmly when I arrive from anywhere, at any time of day.
This resort has to be in the best spot on property. It is just a five minute walk to Epcot, and a ten minute walk to the Boardwalk, add fifteen minutes to that, and you are at Hollywood Studios. All three of these destinations can be reached by boat, too.
I think one of my most favorite evening walks is the one around the lagoon at Yacht Club ending by the Yacht Club marina. And, if you sit on a bench, right at the end of the walkway that brings you to the entrance to Yacht Club lobby, by the lagoon and marina, you can see Illuminations, and it is so pretty. I came upon this sp

Love the Yacht Club! on 6/16/2006 by wdwbarb
Just got back from 6 nights at the Yacht Club. The location is so great - walk to EPCOT, boat to MGM Studios and Boardwalk at your doorstep! The service was everything youd expect from a Disney Deluxe Resort. Beaches and Cream was very crowded both times we went and ended up with just take-out. Watched Illuminations from the dock. Used the Disney transportation a few times with no major delays. Cant wait to go back!

Dark, quiet, conservative in navy blue! on 10/24/2005 by Ser Alan
The Yacht Club colors have always seemed a bit on the dark side to me; navy blue and red with dark woods seems to dominate. I think its a bit better since the last remodel and I like the new furniture a lot better... same type of furniture that they put in the Beach Club.
The concierge used to be one of the best but I was disappointed at the rather lackluster minimalist fare presented on our last trip. In general I get the impression that Disney is cutting the concierge budget so I dont think this is specific to Yacht Club, it seems all of the concierge level food outlays have been cut back. Still, the people in concierge here are some of the best :)
Overall its a good resort, nice and close to the boat dock that will take you to MGM or Epcot and I do love those boats! Some decent restaurants, the Yacht Club is a great place for a steak and the Galley is pretty good, too. If you like the quiet, dark, conservative nautical/navy blue theme you will love the Yacht Cl
