Member Reviews: Submit a Disney's Yacht Club Resort member review! Awesome !!! on 4/15/2010 by Jeff anderson Stayed 5 nights in August 08. Very nice resort. Easy walk or boat ride to Epcot or Hollywood Studios. The Boardwalk is just across the lake. Be sure to stop there for a meal or a stroll on the lakefront. Planning on going back this summer. Also the pool is very very nice. Read reviews by Jeff anderson
WDW Yacht Club - Illuminations Viewing spot on 12/11/2009 by Franniepoppins I stayed at Disney's Yacht Club Resort in November of 2009 for three nights, for the Earmarked Conference. The resort itself is very pretty, and the service really is top notch. I love the feeling of being greeted so warmly when I arrive from anywhere, at any time of day.
This resort has to be in the best spot on property. It is just a five minute walk to Epcot, and a ten minute walk to the Boardwalk, add fifteen minutes to that, and you are at Hollywood Studios. All three of these destinations can be reached by boat, too.
I think one of my most favorite evening walks is the one around the lagoon at Yacht Club ending by the Yacht Club marina. And, if you sit on a bench, right at the end of the walkway that brings you to the entrance to Yacht Club lobby, by the lagoon and marina, you can see Illuminations, and it is so pretty. I came upon this spot by chance, and it really was a perfect, magical Disney moment. Read reviews by Franniepoppins
Love the Yacht Club! on 6/16/2006 by wdwbarb Just got back from 6 nights at the Yacht Club. The location is so great - walk to EPCOT, boat to MGM Studios and Boardwalk at your doorstep! The service was everything youd expect from a Disney Deluxe Resort. Beaches and Cream was very crowded both times we went and ended up with just take-out. Watched Illuminations from the dock. Used the Disney transportation a few times with no major delays. Cant wait to go back! Read reviews by wdwbarb
Dark, quiet, conservative in navy blue! on 10/24/2005 by Ser Alan The Yacht Club colors have always seemed a bit on the dark side to me; navy blue and red with dark woods seems to dominate. I think its a bit better since the last remodel and I like the new furniture a lot better... same type of furniture that they put in the Beach Club.
The concierge used to be one of the best but I was disappointed at the rather lackluster minimalist fare presented on our last trip. In general I get the impression that Disney is cutting the concierge budget so I dont think this is specific to Yacht Club, it seems all of the concierge level food outlays have been cut back. Still, the people in concierge here are some of the best :)
Overall its a good resort, nice and close to the boat dock that will take you to MGM or Epcot and I do love those boats! Some decent restaurants, the Yacht Club is a great place for a steak and the Galley is pretty good, too. If you like the quiet, dark, conservative nautical/navy blue theme you will love the Yacht Club. Ive heard rumors that Arnold Schwarzenegger and Michael Eisner make regular visits to the Yacht Club. Personally I would choose the Beach Club or even the Boardwalk Inn over the Yacht Club, I prefer a lighter ambience. Read reviews by Ser Alan
YC concierge review on 3/25/2002 by Laura I have stayed at the Yacht Club concierge twice, and both times it well exceeded my expectations! The concierge staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. They really made my husband and me feel very comfortable and welcome there! We enjoyed the lounge very much. The YC concierge lounge is very beautifully decorated, and the food offerings are vast! Breakfast is especially nice, with a lot of different choices. I like that they have the coffee out by 6am too!
Our room both times had a beautiful view of Crescent lake and the BW.
We are completely hooked on the YC now, and incredibly spoiled by their concierge! Read reviews by Laura
