Have you ever dreamed of living in a world of Grace and charm? Does the thought of being surrounded by fresh bouquets of flowers and sense of grandness appeal? Then, consider the Grand Floridian Resort where the grandeur of Victorian Florida is the theme elegantly displayed at every turn. In addition to the dazzling beauty that is in every detail, from the solid brass door handles to the grand piano in the lobby, this resort offers:

  1. Monorail and boat service to the Magic Kingdom
  2. Three of the finest dining choices - Citrico’s, Narcoossee’s, and Victoria & Albert’s (where ‘dressing for dinner’ is expected) AND a character buffet for breakfast and dinner at 1900 Park Fare. There is a food court as well.
  3. A variety of children’s activities available, including an Alice in Wonderland tea party and a Neverland Pirate’s treasure hunt. Advance reservations are required.
  4. Big band music live every evening in the lobby
  5. Afternoon tea served daily in the Garden View room
  6. A full service spa and health club

The Grand Floridian has many room options, from the traditional “attic room” which sleeps four to a slightly larger room with a daybed that sleeps five and has views ranging from standard to Garden to Lagoon (some view the Castle) all the way to junior and two bedroom suites with concierge service. The colors are Victorian peach, purple, and beige. Bus service at the Grand Floridian is somewhat slower than other resorts on return routes as this resort is the last stop. All deluxe resort amenities are available, including valet parking, 24-hour room service, and evening turndown.

My Number 1 Choice on 9/1/2015 by Katie

I always stay here...I've tried other deluxe resorts, and even a couple villas, but the ambiance here makes me feel like a princess.  That's what I want from a Disney experience.  I love sitting in the lobby at dinner time and watching people come in all dressed up for Victoria & Alberts, and I think Narcoossee's is the best restaurant in Disney World.  I would rather stay here and not buy souvenirs any day of the week!

Too fancy on 6/30/2014 by Bob

This was a beautiful resort but it felt too fancy. It did not have the Disney feel and it was a little boring. Everything was clean though.

GF -- Beautiful and Wonderful on 6/12/2013 by Stlr4life

We stayed at the GF in June 2013. I was a bit skeptical that the other guests would be stuffy and reserved, but I was wrong! Everyone was so very nice and helpful. It truly is a beautiful resort. We walked down every night to the bay and watched the fireworks. The landscaping is superior and well kept. The rooms were clean and room service was superb. Each night had turn down service with a chocolate placed on our pillow. We left money for a tip for housekeeping, but it was not picked up but a note explaining tipping procedures was left. The suite had an ample sized safe for valuables. The shops were small and I thought the merchandise would be expensive, but with each purchase I asked for a AAA discount. The staff was attentive to my grand daughters every need. We had a character dinner in 1900 Park Fare. The food was simply delicious. The characters went to every table for pictures and interaction. We enjoyed the strawberry soup and fruit tarts. We had a photo taken before dinner wit

Spa Review!! on 6/5/2011 by Kristin

In preparing for my trip my husband treated me to a spa package at the Niki Bryan spa at the Grand Floridian.  Note this review is for the spa only.  I wanted to read more about it before I booked so I am hoping this will help someone.

First of all, if you have time to save for a spa treatment I totally suggest you do so.  I had a year to save and prepare, plus my hubby gave me some money so this is how I was able to afford this.  It IS affordable if you think about it and have some time and it is very worth it.  There are also coupons  you can find for it too.

In the past on our WDW vacations I have had to take a day of rest.  The kids would go on without me because I would just be too worn out and sickly feeling.  I have never been to a spa before but I thought it would help.  It did!

First of all you go in and take a shower with their

Review Grand Floridian on 5/8/2011 by John Areiter

Our family stayed at this resort in July 2007 and I must say that if you want luxury combined with location, this is at the top of my list. Our room at the Conch Key there was spacious for us, and we are four. The main pool was large and extremely clean and clear with the temperature being perfect. At night you can get a great view that fireworks at the resort. The buffets at 1900 Park Fare are great, whether you want breakfast or dinner..the dinner is a better value. At night you can take the resort boat to the Magic Kingdom...this is the best way to get there. If you want to treat yourself to a memorable experience I highly recommend Disney's flagship resort...The Grand Floridian!

Staying at the Grand Floridian Resort on 4/19/2010 by Jowana

Have you ever experienced a beach side resort in early part of 19th century. The Grand Floridian will make you feel like you were back in that time period. It is great place to stay for great vacation for the family. They treat you as if you are a princess or a prince. Their food is 5 star and if you stay go to the conceirge level they have diffrent type's of gormae food served every hour. This resort is the place to stay!  Well worth your money... if you don't belive me go and see and visit the place for yourself and trust me you will not be let down from the visit to the Grand Floridian

Your friendly Disney helper, Jowana

A must stay on 1/31/2010 by Jess

We stayed in Dec. 2004 in one of the Disney Suites. It was the most classic hotels on property. I love this hotel and the Royal Palm concierge was so helpful and a must extra. It is a way to splurge!

AWESOME!! on 8/1/2007 by Catherine

There is only one word for the grand:AWESOME!  Our family stayed here march 2007 for 5 nights! Our holiday began from the moment we stepped through the doors. As a huge Disney fan, it felt like I had stepped into one of the movies! The Grand Floridian has the ability to take you away from he norm and into a world of fantasy! We stayed in Boca Chica, this was ideal as it was a hop, skip and a jump away from the pool, a small walk away from the main lobby, everything we could have possibly needed was a short stroll away. For a great view of the wishes fireworks at MK we suggest you watch from the  marina-  they staff have even been nice enough to play the wishes soundtrack through speakers to correspond with the fireworks, just like in the park! Staff are very friendly, genuinely -- not because they are paid to! The only downfall to the Grand Floridian is that it will spoil every other hotel you ever stay at! nothing else co

Our stay at the GF on 2/22/2006 by Mera

We stayed at Disneys Grand Floridian Resort  for our first anniversary trip in September of 2005.   We chose to stay at the GF because we married at Disneys wedding pavilion a year earlier and wanted to relive a little bit of the magic.  We didnt request a specific room or building, but I did request to not have a dormer room.  After we checked in we went directly to our room. As luck would have it it was a beautiful room that overlooked the Marina, but it was a dormer room.  I knew I would not be happy with this because  I am short and whenI sit on the balcony, I can not see over the ledge. So if you are petite or under 5 "2", I would suggest having an open balcony ( the ones with the slats in them) The dormer rooms have  a closed balcony and seem to be a bit higher.  Well anyway we called to the front desk and DJ the manager took care of it.   We were given a different room that was just as beautiful and had a great view.  The rest of the week spendt at the GF was just wonderful.

The Grand Floridian is AMAZING!!!! Me and my family (im only 12 years old!) stayed here on our first trip in 2004. Our room was spectacular!! we had a great view. The service was excellent! Everyone was kind and thoughtful. The food was AWESOME!!!! Even the fast food was good!!! The pools were beautiful!!! One of the pools was right next to the beach! It was a vacation to remember!!! From a scale of 1 to10, I would give it a 9.5. Its worth the money!!!
