Restaurants : Floor Plan : Pictures : Video

The first Moderate flavor resort built at Disney World, the Caribbean Beach Resort is also the only moderate resort with a white sand beach. So… if your tastes say beach, and your budget says moderate, the Caribbean Beach Resort may be the perfect choice for you. Theming that intends to convince you that you are on a tropical island from the time you enter the gate, the Caribbean Beach Resort has live Parrots on the grounds and playful colors everywhere. Other amenities of this resort include:

  1. Ample water recreation offerings as well as jogging paths
  2. Shutters full service restaurant for family style dining
  3. A food court that gets good review by many
  4. An internal bus system to travel the large resort area
  5. A themed pool for every “island” of rooms

The resort has the largest rooms of all the moderate resorts at 340 sq ft. Each room has two double beds and sleeps 4. Some corner rooms have king sized beds. Limited room service is available. The Epcot Illuminations can be partially seen from the resort, and there are wonderful picnic nooks, courtyards, and hammocks spread throughout the grounds. Tip: Ask for a refurbished room.

Caribbean Beach now has two queen beds and a pull out bed from under the TV area, All standard and water rooms are done and they are now working on the preferred rooms.

Love the new rooms! on 2/21/2015 by Jodi

In November I was able to preview the newly refurbished rooms, including some with a murphy bed so they can accomodate 5 people.  I have to say, I was TOTALLY impressed.  I had previoiusly stayer at CBR and enjoyed it, but can't say the rooms were anything special.  Now, however, they are.  They feel so fresh and new and really have more of a Deluxe resort room feel to them.  If you've stayed there before and loved it, you'll love it even more now.  If you've stayed there before and were on the fence, definitely give them another shot because I really think you'll be very happy with the new rooms!

Changes to rooms. on 1/10/2015 by Alexander, Karen

Caribbean Beach now has two queen beds and a pull out bed from under the TV area, All standard and water rooms are done and they are now working on the preferred rooms. This is per Disney yesterday. I called when I saw on their site that some of the rooms sleep 5.

Preferred Moderate on 7/9/2014 by Cody Morris

Me and my partner usually take one trip a year and it's always during the winter time(November-December). Every year we book a value resort and upgrade later for the free dining. We usually always choose this resort as it is our favorite. We enjoy the beautiful grounds, quick access to Hollywood and Epcot, and the option to watch Illuminations from the main pool/dock area. The quick cafe is a great option for the morning breakfast to-go people and a late quick dinner. The bus route is quick and has many stops for each area of the resort. We always recommend our friends stay here when visiting Disney.

I like the ambiance on 12/18/2013 by Ahnalira

I like the colorful ambiance of this resort, and Shutters (the full service restaurant) is a cozy "Disney secret"... good Caribbean style food.  It's a HUGE resort, though, so be prepared to walk a distance from the main area to your room.  If you like walking that can be a plus, but if you're tired after a day at the parks..not so much :P

The rooms are the standard "moderate" variety for a Disney resort..the ones that have been refurbished are much more updated.  I would always ask to get one of these.

Disappointing stay on 11/16/2013 by Alyssa

My husband and I made reservations for a week in September of 2012 to stay at this resort and after just two nights we decided to check out. It was NOT what we were hoping for or, in our opinions, worth the amount if money it charged. We found lodging else where and were much happier. Not to mention the food here was horrible! Also, we had left two pillows in the room and went back just a few hour later to get them back and they were "never found". Not sure how that's possible because they were on the bed and we were just there. I don't know if the maids stole them but I was very upset with the performance of this resort.

Wow on 1/20/2013 by K. Hart

My family and I stayed here in December 2012 for 7 days 6 nights. We booked our trip so our rooms would all be together and we had a whole side of the 2nd floor facing the water in Martenique. We saw fireworks every night from our porch (which we set up an outside patio on since no one ever came down our hall) and maximized our time together. We were a short walk to the pool, dining, and bar and the kids loved watching movies by the pool while eating diner. Loved this resort, loved the atmosphere, and can't wait to go back in 2014. The staff was excellent and so helpful. My mother made friends with everyone who worked there and I can't say enough about them. My only complain was I did not allot enough time to spend at the resort itself. Next time I think I will only get park passes for 1/2 the time so we can relax and enjoy the resort more. A note* we spent a night at Pop Century before our check in at Carribean Beach and the transition was amazing. They took our luggage and br

Wonderful service! Beautiful Resort and so convenient.  From the moment we arrived we felt very special "Received Family of the Day Surprise"!!  Loved the movies under the stars at night, a good view of fireworks from Epcot.  Will definitely stay here again!

Great Disney resort on 1/24/2012 by MikeL

Just stayed at Carib Beach for the 3rd time, gets better each time. Love all that space and the rooms are bigger than other resorts, and the beaches are a nice touch.

Fantastic Resort on 7/25/2010 by Tinkerbellfan

We recently stayed at this moderately priced resort for seven days. We had an amazing time! My family loved the pools. My husband and I were impressed with the staff and the high level of customer service we received. The housekeeping staff was terriffic and very efficient. We had tasty drinks from the poolside bar during our adult alone time and very much enjoyed the hot tub. My only criticism is the quality of food and lack of variety at the food court. Other than that, we highly recommend this resort. Great value and great service.

Caribbean Beach Resort in WDW on 12/9/2009 by Franniepoppins

We really did enjoy our stay at the Walt Disney World Caribbean Beach Resort.

The rooms at this resort are very well appointed.  We were in the Pirate section, and enjoyed the whimsical feel of the pirate theme in our room.

The maid service was quite good, we found little towel animals every day.  Our shampoo and soap was refilled every day, too.  My daughter loves the WDW soap!

The food court is really wonderful!  Lots of yummy choices, and the feel of being in the middle of a fiesta; it is fun!  I found that even when the food court was at its busiest, tables were available, and clean.

I suppose the one drawback of this resort is how very big it is.  They do have buses that run, to bring you around the resort, and you can also call for a van pick up, if you need it.  One tip I will give is to arrange w

stayed in 2007 on 8/13/2009 by John

My family and I stayed here in Aug. 2007. Hotel is very relaxing. the food court was ok, not the greatest. I say, over all, the stay here was good, but the long walks to the food court was not something I really enjoyed. We have been to Disney 3 times now with a 4th trip in Dec. 2009, and i would only recommended this resort for a one time stay. I have stayed at three different resorts now, and  this resort isn't bad - just not great.

Our Stay on 8/7/2009 by John Areiter

I have stayed with my family at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort since it opened in 1988. It is a "magical" place where you feel the Caribbean atmosphere and can walk the white, sandy beach and enjoy the boating there, as well as the various eateries and markets at the Port Royale. I would highly recommend this resort, especially in the "moderate" category.

Relax in the Caribbean on 10/5/2006 by Cheryl

My family stayed at the Caribbean Beach and it was WONDERFUL. This place makes you feel like you are in the Caribbean, and way from the hustle and bustle of life. Our room was in Martinique on the 1st floor and we had a garden view room which was very quiet. The room comfortable suited our family of 4. The only thing I would change is the size of the toilet/tub area. But this would never deter me from staying here again. Our housekeeping service was excellent!  We had about a 5 minute walk along the water to Port Royal. Every morning we ate breakfast there and the portions are enough for 2 adults to split. This is a great resort for money!

Disney Without Kids on 4/24/2006 by grace kirk

We were in WDW Mar.20-28, a middle aged couple, wiithout kids. We had the best time & in some ways it was better without our kid(who's now 22& we've done WDW with him tiwce).

We stayed @ The Caribbean Beach Resort. We were in Martinique(Rm. 2552). It was right next to Port Royale. We were on the 2nd floor. Our balcony overlooked the bay & the little  white sandy beach with hammocks & loungers. A lovely view. We were pleased with our room. It was always clean. The housekeeper always added pleasant little touches like folding the towels in interesting ways. For the 2 of us it was a good size.

Port Royale had a good selection of fast foods. The quality was pretty much what I expected, not great & kind of pricey. The gift shops had a good selection of souvenirs. In some ways I liked our gift shop better than the parks or the market place as it wasn't so overwhelming with people & choices. I actually did quite a bit of shopping
