I love the new look! on 9/13/2008 by Ahnalira The renovation of the Contemporary Resort from the "Jetson's" futuristic look to the more elegant fusion of woods and metals and earthtone colors really works for me!
Walking into the lobby now makes me feel like I'm entering a very sleek and modern facility, and I love the way Disney made the Contemporary "contemporary" with the new Wave dining option, too Read reviews by Ahnalira
Best view on 9/4/2007 by Donna We now have a new favorite resort – we have stayed in most of the deluxe resorts and are rating the Contemporary #1 coming a close 2nd is the Animal Kingdom Lodge. If you stay at the Contemporary make sure you book a “theme park view”. We slept with the curtains open so we could wake up in the middle of the night to see the lighted Castle. What a view – I cannot say this enough. The room was spectacular – very modern and well appointed. The cast members were all very friendly, the only problem we had was at check-in when our room was not ready – there was about a ½ hour wait – however the room and view were worth the wait!
We ate dinner at the California Grill – great meal, great view. Breakfast was at Chef Mickey’s which was in my opinion one of the best character breakfasts – the food was great and each character came to our table 3 times. This was our infant son’s first visit to WDW and we have plenty of photos to remember this awesome experience. While we thoroughly enjoyed our recent visits to the Polynesian and the Grand Floridian, the Contemporary is our top-rated monorail resort. Read reviews by Donna
Contemporary - My 2nd Home! on 8/24/2006 by dizneydonna Ahhh, my beloved Contemporary Resort...........I could go on and on about it! There are so many things about the Contemporary that strikes a cord within me. First of all, you really can't get much more DISNEY than The Contemporary Resort. It, along with the Polynesian, being the first hotels on property, makes it a Disney Classic, truly to be cherished. The unique design and of the Contemporary makes it almost as recognizable as the Eiffel Tower (among the Disney community, especially). The recently renovated rooms are gorgeous; Very modern with earth tones, crisp white bedding and silver accents. Since the renovation, I'd have to say that this has also become the most 'chic' of the Deluxe Resorts. A large, fully stocked marina, largest game room at any resort (you can even collect tickets to earn prizes), close-up views of the Magic Kingdom and Cinderella's Castle, relaxing views of Bay Lake (if you're high enough on this side of the tower, you can even see Epcot), being on the monorail track and within walking distance of the Magic Kingdom, are just a few of the reasons that make this my top resort pick. Really, I've stayed at them all............I feel the most "connected to the Magic" when resting my head on a Contemporary Resort pillow! ; ) Read reviews by dizneydonna

May 2003/tower club on 8/11/2003 by tayra Choosing a hotel is really tough! After all the debate we finally decided on the Contemporary and boy were we glad! This was my husbands and daughters first trip to Disney and I wanted it to be perfect! My family always stayed at a monorail resort so that narrowed it down by quite a bit. Gf was a little more than I wanted to pay and Poly is great, but we picked the Contemporary because the monorail went through the hotel and my daughter thought that was "cool". We stayed in a tower club room which is basically limited concierge. The service was out of this world!! The staff was very friendly and helpfully to all our many needs. The made PS for us just minutes before seating and always had a smile on their faces! The room was great with an impeccable veiw of the MK/Poly/Seven seas lagoon. We could actually hear people screaming, from Big thunder moutain, in the distance! We sat on the balcany and watched the lights change on the castle and could see the space ship orbiter. The room was very clean and housekeeping arranged my daughters barbies on the bed every day. She would get excited to see which prince they put with which princess and laugh when they werent matched correctly. The concierge service was very nice. The cont. breakfast was nice and the afternoon snacks were okay but the staff members made up for the just okay snacks! The location is perfect and there is an over all feeling of fun in the lobby, home of Chef Mickeys! I would rate the hotel about a 9 of 10, the pool area isnt that great compared to other resorts. My daughter wants to stay again next year but I want to try something different. There are just too many resorts to stay at the same one twice without trying the others. Read reviews by tayra
