Amazing on 3/23/2010 by Jess Stayed here for a girls trip to Disney. Loved it very much the one pool had more kids, but if you wanna relax with the older people the other pool is nice too.. Perfect for families with older kids. My mother stayed at a moderate resort last year and thought ASMovies was just as good because rooms are still big - except only one sink vanity - but we were out enjoying Disney so there was not much time to be at the hotel and when there was movies still had tons to entertain. Mrs on 3/14/2010 by Tiff Stayed in family suite and loved it! This resort is all you need if you have kids. The only downside is it is the last resort of the 3 value in a row and buses tend to fill up before they get to you. We will stay here again! Read reviews by Tiff
calypso on 8/18/2007 by neena1957 Hello, This will be the first time that I am writing anything on here, sooo here goes. I wnt to All Star Music back in Jan of 2001 and we asked for non smoking and the Calypso building. So when we went up to register we walked right in and they said we could only pick one, so we said non smoking, their reply was that this was our lucky day and we got both.
The noise at the pool was minimal we had great maid service and the cast members ther could not have been nicer. We always gathered our purchases up at the desk, and we had no complaints. I am going back to All Star Music in December of 2009, but this time I am taking my son and his family, 3 grandchildren, and daughter-in-law. We are going to stay at the Music and we are hoping to get a family suite. The youngest one will be old enough, by then to ride all the rides and enjoy the time.
We had no problems with the busses either.
I hope this helps anyone out,

Great Value Here on 8/1/2006 by Brenda Sheaters I have traveled to Disney World many times in the last ten years. {Maybe 15 times.} I always go alone or with other adults. I prefer to not waste a lot of money on a room I am rarely in. I am usually up by 7AM and out until at least 11 PM. For that reason I always stay in a value resort. My favorite is the ALL STAR MUSIC. There are a lot less children staying here than the other value resorts. Sports and Movies draw large families and children by the droves. It is much quieter at the pools and food courts at Music. If a quiet relaxing vacation is what you want I recommend MUSIC. Trust me you are rarely in your rooms and the size of it is not worth spending the difference in money. Stay here and maybe eat an extra character meal or rent a boat or golf cart in the wilderness area. These things will provide your entire family with wonderful memories that will last their entire lifetime.

ALL STAR MUSIC RESORT on 9/30/2003 by Denise When husband and I visit Disney, or objective is to NOT spend all of our money on the resort. The first time visiting Disney we stayed at the Shades of Green and were very happy. Well, hubby isnt military any longer so on our next trip we stayed at the Allstar Music Resort...we were VERY happy!! For the price we paid and for them being a value resort, it was quite worth it. The food court was awesome! The selection was more than I could imagine and I loved the theming in the dining area. I chose the ASMusic resort because hubby is a musician, so I figured how cool to be in a resort that was music based. We stayed at the Calypso Inn, (one of the preferred buildings) and it was such a convenient walk to our car, the buses, and the lobby. This is the resort we will always chose to stay at because we like to spend our money on food. Hubby and I do a lot of eating when at Disney and Id rather it be on food than a resort that Im only going to sleep and rest at. Im not really a pool person and I dont need all the other amenities that come with the moderates and deluxes.
For a value resort and the price you pay, I think the Allstars are great! Its definitely where hubby and I will be visiting when we return in 2006! Read reviews by Denise
HIGHLY IMPRESSED!! on 9/1/2003 by B. NELSON Being that this was the very first time staying on disneys property. All I can say is "WOW!" we were all so impressed with it. I was sorta skeptical about our stay, reading some negatives post. But, low and behold, it was really nice and cheering. Check in and out was a breeze. No long lines either. The food court offered a nice selection, and variety too. As far as the room goes, it was just right for the four of us. Two adults, and two children. Didnt get that "cramped" in feeling. Would definitely stay there again. We will try the new "pop century" in December!! Read reviews by B. NELSON
nice on 7/19/2002 by Susan:) I stayed at the All Star Music with my mom and her friend and her friends eight year old daughter. We shared a room, which was snug but okay. Ive stayed at the AS movies and I liked this one much better. At the movies resort only the Toy Story section was neat, but at the music, I liked all the sections. My favorite was the Broadway Inn because I love Beauty and the Beast! Also, in the middle of the Jazz area, theres a beautiful fountain surrounded by an iron fence with roses growing all over! And the area between the buildings and the parking lot had nice paths with trees and little benches. If you want to go cheaply, the AS music is great! Read reviews by Susan:)
The All-Star Resorts are AWESOME! on 6/7/2002 by Tinker-Brendie Weve stayed at all three A-Stars as well as twice at the CBR and for the money, Ill take the Stars! We stayed at the ASMo in the fall of 2000 (in the Buzz Lightyear building) and in the North Trinidad part of the CBR in Feb of 2002. Ive already booked us back into the ASMo for December 2002. Ive never been one to want to pay alot for a room and I think the All-Stars give the most bang for the buck. I was VERY disappointed with the layout, choices and the upkeep of the CBR foot court after having experienced all three A-S courts with their airy layouts and roomy table areas. The A-S rooms are smaller, yes, but I think Disney now has this value-price hotel stuff down to a science.
Until I win the lottery, Ill save my money for WDW food and souvenirs.
If anyone has any questions I might be able to help with, please feel freel to email me at brendaburchett@aol.com! Just 203 days til we go back! Read reviews by Tinker-Brendie

Ways to make your room a little better.... on 11/2/2000 by Ali's Mom How to turn the All Stars into the more of a luxury:
Okay, we all know you can't "turn" it into something that it is not, but here are some tips from someone who has been there, done that...
(1) The Deluxes all have ceiling fans to circulate the air. The All Stars did not. While all the local stores have personal fans, try to find a fan by Honeywell called the Super Turbo High Performance fan - the one that is about 12 inches high. Bring it with you (it fits very nicely in your luggage). Once in the room, but it in the corner over by the window on the floor and turn it on medium - it circulates the air very nicely, and the soft whirl of the fan gives you a little white noise for sleeping. Other fans may work just as well, this is the one I took, and it worked very well.
(2) Go to your local discount store and buy one of those cheap white things that hang over the shower head. This will now free up some space on your sink counter that is smaller in size then then some of the other resorts - but with some space freed up, you actually have more room. If you get a real cheap one, you can leave it there, and you will not be out much. Also, by one of those extra plugs, that plug into the outlet and makes it three plugs instead of one. I was able to use my hairdryer, heat up my curling iron, and still leave in the nightlight that I had plugged in. Speaking of nightlights, bring a cheap one and plug it in - makes for not having to feel your way in the dark during the middle of the night.
(3) While I'm on the subject of bathroom and that cheap white thing, go to your local bath and body store, and buy some really nice smelling bath gel (GF uses GRAPEFRUIT in their spa) - now you can put this container in your while thing and have really nice smelling bath gel like you do at GF. Also go treat yourself and buy a nice bottle of shampoo and conditioner that you normally would not buy. Also, get one of those $1.25 nylon bathroom puffs. Oh yes, bring a small sewing kit (one of those travel ones). You now have the bathroom of a deluxe resort (and then some) You probably have spent about $30.00 for number 2 and 3. Only think missing is the extra sink - that one I can't help with LOL!
(4) Now you can not manufacture space in your room, however, if you take one suitcase, and turn it upright and place it between the wall and the pillows on the bed, you can consumed space that really is "dead" space in the room any way. With these two suitcases out of the way, you can created the illusion of space. Any other suitcases? Place then on under the sink area, which is pretty "unused" space in the room also. Also, the deluxes do have more "room" space, but they fill it up with that daybed, and frig (bar) So, I really think it you look at "walkable" floor space, the rooms are probably almost the same size!
(5) When you check in, ask for an iron and ironing board to be delivered. Now you are on the same level as a deluxe. You both have an iron and board.
(6) Drawer space - you can create the illusion of more space - when you pack, go get the 2 gallon pastic food bags at your grocery store. Put a shirt/pants/underwear/socks for that day (or time of day) in one bag. Now when you unpack, take the bags out, and put the bags in a drawer per person, - there are 6 drawers, so we even had one to put used clothing in one.
(7) Now, there is no way under the sun you can make a double bed into a queen bed, HOWEVER, when I walked to my room on check in day, they did have several roll-away beds outside of rooms, so they do have them - ask for one (I'm sure there is an extra charge, but still much cheaper than a deluxe rate). When the bed is not being used, fold it up and place it next the sink area (the one under the closet area). This can make a bed a little bigger if you have one less person sleeping in it.
(8) Treat yourself to a cab once during your stay - try using it the day you go to DD, or stay very late at the parks. Even the $15.00 is not going to reach the cost of the deluxe.
(9) Need a paper delivered everyday? I noticed as I walked around the resort that certain rooms had a paper delivered - check at the desk when you check in. I did not this time, but I plan on it next time. I'm sure there is a small charge - but not enough to justify the higher cost of the resort. If not, as you go get your morning coffee in your refillable mug, the paper is right there, and its only 50 cents a day.
(10) Need a slide or a diving board at your pool? Don’t go to the GF(!) it does not have one (yet), and neither did the ALL STARS. Yes, GF did have a hot tub, but, I can pay for a
25 minute massage at the GF Spa, and get to use their hot tub at the spa, get a massage, and still have money in my difference of room cost account.
(11) Room noise - I did not hear a single sound from above me, or beside me. I did not hear a sound in the deluxes either - however, I have read a trip report recently about someone in a deluxe that shared moments of their honeymoon nightly. I'm not sure if the whirling of the fan helped, or if the rooms are more "sound proofed", but we went to bed early each night, and never heard a peep at all.
Bottom line - if you have three of less people in a room, in my personal opinion, go for the ALL STARS. Square footage versus charge, the more money is not worth it. If you have 4 it might be a tighter fit, and if you were considering a deluxe because you have 4 - unless you can get a really good price deal at a deluxe, I'd pay for two connecting rooms at the ALL STARS - you'd still come out ahead in costs.
These are just some of my tips...
